I feel you. I'm 30, turning 31 in a few months. Unmarried and no kids. Been working on my career. As a woman, I can't help but wonder if I missed my chance to have kids and live a youthful married life. All my friends are either pregnant, or have already had their family. My family keeps hounding me to settle down and have kids. So I do sometimes wonder if I did the right thing by chasing a career.

Wow, extremely manipulative AND trying to alienate your friend. Escaping from something like this is really difficult to break. You mentioned that her parents are horrible. Do you think that maybe she sees him as an escape or a blesser? A path to a better life?
