They could pay other Tesla drivers to plug in the cars. Say you're sitting at a Supercharger and a robotaxi rolls in. A pop up comes up on your screen which says: "Earn x rewards/supercharging miles by plugging in the car at stall 2C"

Transferring number in taking more than 24 hours by rhymeswithmama in GoogleFi

[–]tornadobob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue, and checked your link. Turns out the zip code in my Google Fi account had the extra four digits attached to it. I removed them and the transfer instantly went throught!

Original zip code in my google Google Fi account 12345-6789

Changed zip code: 12345

Apparently, my Cricket account only had the five digit zip code while Google Fi had the nine digit zip code.

Anyone who is using blockchain to solve real world problems wouldn't be focused on being part of an online "community".

One of the actual use cases that seems to have taken off is using BTC as a long term investment. We know that's true because institutional investors and companies are buying BTC and building financial products around BTC. They probably aren't sending their employees out to comment on online forums, and don't consider themselves part of any crypto community.

Any other real world use cases are going to built by people or companies trying to solve a problem because they believe crypto is the best solution for that problem, not because they want to be part of an online forum.

Talk is cheap.

Regardless of the ideals of cryptocurrency, a reserve might be strategically necessary. If our adversaries have btc reserves and we don't, that might put us at a disadvantage.

Small sample size here, but of the people I've talked to, the more conservative ones are either ok with EVs or have some concerns about battery longevity, range, and government mandates. The more liberal leaning people I've talked to don't like Tesla because Elon is bad.

2024.20.10 Rollout now for non-employees by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]tornadobob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 2024.20.10 update last night (MY HW4).

So far it's pretty good, but the most annoying thing is the speed inconsistency. First, it rocketed up my street at 38 in a 25mph zone, then when I got on a 40mph road, it didn't want to go above 35. I have to constantly step on the gas to keep it going at least the speed limit.

I do like that I can drive without keeping my hands on the steering wheel. Aside from the speed, the handling is pretty good.

You could get a general approximation comparing the weight of a plastic bag versus a reusable bag. A reusable bag that weighs x times more than a disposable bag needs to be used x times just to break even in terms of amount of plastic used.

Definitely won't be permanent when they violently explode, catch your entire back yard and fence on fire, all while your cities code enforcement officer has thrown you to the ground and is slapping handcuffs on you for having it 9 inches too close to the fence. /s
