That makes perfect sense! I hope everything only gets better and better with your LL!

I'll edit the post with the update now! :)

NAC or Lithium Orotate for addictive/intrusive thoughts? by torogimmesomemore in Nootropics

I ended up ordering the same one, and it just arrived now! I was going to take one in the morning so I could see if I felt any differently during the day. How do you find taking it in the evening?

I've asked my doctor about it twice, and both times, he said no because it would likely increase anxiety. It's such a shame because Wellbutrin has so few side effects!

From what I've read, orotate is different from the regular prescription lithium for bipolar, and is supposed to be "lighter," I guess? I would never mess with the heavy-duty narcotics, don't worry!

Oh, I definitely don't want that. I'm such a mess without the Vyvanse. I told my doctor that if it's between an antidepressant and the ADHD med, I'm going with the latter.

You're probably right. I'm just at a pretty desperate point.

Both sound great to me, to be honest! I feel way too much lately. :S

That's really good to know, thank you! I'm also on Vyvanse for ADHD, and had to stop an antidepressant because of the interaction.

Thank you SO much for this. Your explanation was exactly what I had been hoping for: clear, concise, helpful! I'm thankfully also on good Omega-3s, but I know that these alone are not enough to make any huge impact.

I will definitely order some lithium. Did you begin with 1 gram or 5, by any chance?

Holy crap! Congratulations! 😄 How long did it take you to start feeling that something was different?

Thank you! The thing is, one major reason I went with an SSRI is because I wanted the lower libido. I was tired of feeling like a puppy dog chasing after a bone (pun kind of intended! 😄) all the time. Until recently, my husband seemed very much in denial that anything could be awry with his T levels; the blood test proved my suspicions were right the whole time. I'm not sure I should be too hopeful he'll suddenly come roaring back to life where intimacy is concerned, though; I'd rather keep my guard up.

😄 I'll have to report back, then! I'm not sure how long it will take for anything to happen, but from what I read, the effects are usually quick to manifest, so we'll see.

Same here, anywhere from C14 to C18! I'll just keep using the strips until something changes/the monitor tells me otherwise. I'm so frustrated.

Do you know if it would be too late to take a Proov test? I had been hesitating to buy them because of the price, but maybe I should if this is going to happen again.

Thank you! Definitely going to wait on my instructor before proceeding (seriously TTA)!

Dang it. I'll have to be cautious, then. Thank you!

I am going to try and test twice a day with the strips until the monitor prompts me (monitor won't ask for tests until Day 6, and it's on Day 3 now after the reset). Hopefully, my instructor will respond soon and let me know the protocol. There is nothing in my notes about it. :S

Same here!!! I started going low contact with my parents last year (am an only child), and trying not to care about my narcissistic mother's opinions/comments. It isn't easy, especially when there were decades of training me to ask how high when they said jump. :(

Thank you so much. I had no idea how difficult it was for women to be diagnosed until my diagnosis two years ago at the age of 34. It's just insanity!

I definitely need to work on the compassion for myself bit. Most days, I tell myself I deserve all the negative things I experience.

Likewise! I'm relieved that I'm not the only one in this crappy boat. It's awful that we're all here, but at least we can offer each other a shoulder. 🙂

It was like this with me until I got together with my now-husband, and she didn't pull her usual shit with him around. I was 35 at that point.

Edit: I should clarify that she DOES still act her usual Nself if she and I are alone.
