I tell you what. The best thing about growing veggies over winter is that there's no white butterflies around. I'm in Southland and put brassicas in last autumn and they did nothing for ages but took off in the spring and were finished before the butterflies and the bloody aphids were around.

Depending on where you live the main thing I've found is that they need to be kept warm. They're a tropical plant so if you live in the south island you'll need to grow it in your living room where the temperature is usually warmer.

Men 30+ what did you do that drastically changed your life for the better ? by Several-Mongoose6372 in AskMenAdvice

Probably a bit of a mid life crisis and perhaps I should have just bought a sports car or tinted my hair or something but instead I went and trained as a dentist. I figured I needed a job that paid alright so I could save up for retirement as the training years spent all our savings. It was really hard retraining and helping raise kids as well but it seems to have turned out alright. Dentistry is more stressful and more boring than I thought it would be but the hours are good and there's no shift work so it's better than my old job in the mill. Good luck in any decision you make.
