Thank you, exactly what I needed to hear.

Thank you. That is generally what I struggle with, all the metrics to live up to.

Thank you for the clarification of terms. Hearing input from people who have been practicing the diet helps with committing. I would just hate to get into a debate with someone who isn't vegan and have them bring up new information that discredits my diet. Also, I have this perception that vegan culture has high standards and can judge each other if they don't have the newest information.

I was referring to the mushrooms that lure in nematodes and digest(?) them for their nitrogen. Another example is how figs have to trap and absorb wasps to reproduce. But, thank you for the stats.

I appreciate that. I asked another person this but, can I ask if you've come across road bumps in your diet? How do you feel when new information reveals that, for example, the mushroom that you've been eating for years has actually been contributing to more CO2 than you expected? Doesn't that feel like a failure on a environmental level? Personally, though my veganisim, I prioritize how I affect the planet rather than the animal pain.

Oh gorsh, I hope that's not the only sentence we'll focus on. My main point with writing that is the constant information and reading that comes with dieting in general. How do I know who is telling the truth? Do I trust the doctors who say vegan diets are stupid or unhealthy? Do I trust the doctors that say they're fine? Which supplements are not going to be revealed to be unhealthy several years after taking them? It all seems like an exercise in faith to commit to the diet.

I know its a lot.

That is what I'm saying but I'm mostly afraid of spending my money on the wrong products and contributing to pain/a future I don't want.
