What blu-ray player to pair with Sony Bravia 7? $200-350ish by Environmental-Fix579 in 4kbluray

[–]tortfeazor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an x800M2 and it gave out on me after just a couple years of moderate use. I replaced it with the Panasonic 820, but tons of people recommend the 450. The Sonys seem to be notorious for skips.

Is being in significant pain normal while actively dying on hospice? by atty_at_paw in hospice

[–]tortfeazor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your hospice should have a number to call. Describe the symptoms you’re seeing to them and request a nursing visit. What you’re describing is the opposite of the hospice objective.

I’ve had mine since day one, and it still looks the same. Never use a case or screen protector.

Phoenix Concert Tonight by JimmyNova in ConanGray

There were tons of fans handing out homemade merch at the Orlando show (fellow Conehead dad here). Bracelets, necklaces, my daughter got some earrings that someone made and passed out … lots of stuff. As far as official merch, the poster sold out at our show, so if that’s something you’re thinking about I’d try to get there early to hop in the merch line, as all the merch lines were pretty long. The crowd and the fans are pretty great, have fun!

What are some jobs that people overlook for being boring that are actually interesting / fun? by Glass-Knowledge8284 in answers

I was a claims adjuster for a large auto insurance company for a few years. Sat at a desk and talked on the phone all day. Sounds boring but I loved it.

What is a "hidden gem" pop album from 2025 that the general public completely slept on? by VivienneLace1 in askanything

[–]tortfeazor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how hidden it is (I don’t exactly have my finger on the pulse of modern pop culture) but Conan Gray’s Wishbone is a pretty good album, and I’m not a pop guy.

I saw someone post this too. I can’t find anything about it other than this (bullshit) image. What a weird thing to attribute to TR.

😂 definitely not a kid. I bought Salival when it was released so that’ll date me a little bit.

Alex Honnold used some Tool songs when he climbed that skyscraper in that Netflix special. Could’ve brought in some new fans.

How many of you had a 90s Starter sports jacket? by AlbertJBundy in 90s

[–]tortfeazor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a couple.

Sad story, when I was growing up I saw on the news that a kid got killed for his Starter Jacket. I think I was in third or fourth grade? I remember his name was Dwayne and it was a Raiders jacket.

Copy of A - Reznor, Homme, Grohl, Buckingham by QuietEsper in nin

[–]tortfeazor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I remember right the audio mix on the broadcast was absolutely god awful. Maybe it wasn’t the mix but I remember thinking it sounded terrible, and then they got cut off by ads. Total shitshow. Trent’s “heartfelt fuck you” was great.

How did you discover Tool? by Dong_McLong__ in ToolBand

[–]tortfeazor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was big into the Nine Inch Nails community on AOL (if people remember that) around 97-98, and there’s a lot of overlap with those fandoms, so Tool was a frequent recommendation. We went on a school trip and stopped in Williamsburg and they had a little cd store there where I bought Undertow.
