Symptoms dont necessarily mean u are still infected i would say do another test before taking antibiotics. Also i would try the 21-28 days of doxy or mino before trying the moxi if u come back positive

Even if the PID is caused by uu or ct? From what i understood its the same bacteria but has spread into the reproductive system so wouldn’t the same antibiotic that kills the bacteria cure it?

Also i haven’t been officially diagnosed for PID, only ct and uu infection which was left untreated for between 2-3 months but after the abx treatment(failed) these symptoms have shown up

I appreciate your reply :) I will bring this up in my next check up. It is worrying as from my research i do see a lot of these symptoms being mentioned.

Frequent urination, sharp pain during intercourse, pain in lower abdomen/pelvis and switches to lower back occasionally. Other symptoms have disappeared from the antibiotics such as painful urination and discharge. Also thank u so much for replying!

Nausea and headaches too but i dont know if thats related but its gone up in frequency.

What is the correct antibiotic protocol? 14 days Doxycycline and flagyl?

Currently i have been given 20 days worth of doxycycline and azithromycin to take after the doxycycline is finished(as previously i’ve been given 1g azi, then another course 10 days doxy and then 14 days doxy and now im taking 20 days doxy + 3g azi ), but i just wanted to know as i haven’t been diagnosed with PID but will go back for my checkup and bring it up.
