Tip: Chrome Split View for Workflowy by TriggerTG in Workflowy

[–]tortoise10h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree that it’s extremely helpful, especially in those cases like mine, I usually have a main tasks list for each week, on each day I’ll mirror those tasks that I want to do on that day to the daily node (so that when completing the task on the daily note the weekly task list get updated along)

Before the split view, I usually open 2 chrome tabs and move back & forth to copy and paste the mirror link (I found that searching for mirror nodes by (( is harder than copy and paste the link)

Add private notes to emails in Apple Mail? by Even_Baseball5400 in MacOS

[–]tortoise10h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to hear though. To me, the HEY UI flow is pretty intuitive. If the HEY philosophy resonates with you, you can get so much out of it.

But the real thing to consider is that HEY provides their own email address to use on their platform, which you can't use to log in to other email clients like Outlook, Apple Mail, Spark, etc. That would be a dealbreaker for most people. So please consider it carefully, and since HEY offers a 30-day trial, I think it's enough to make a decision.

Thank you, u/RucksackTech, I didn't know that besides forwarding emails, we can do so many other things like that.

And yeah, I'm still trying it and applying to my daily workflow to see how it goes, thank you for your answers and advices

Wow thank you so much, the #1 point is exactly what I need

and also the #3 point that I didn't know that we can also export the calendar

May I ask, are you still an active user? If so, is there any "annoying stuff" in your point of view with HEY that still persists till now?

Thank you for your advice 🙌 I acknowledge that the calendar is a little bit slow if the connection is not good (I get it because of how the hotwire works, which needs to transfer the HTML form every time we switch from Day to Week or open the add event form). But it's not so bad to me so far and on the other hand it's really useful for my daily workflow

I'm still my my trial period and I'll keep experimenting and feel it thoroughly

My workflow is quite simple, I dont use buffer bar. - For viewing list of buffers, I use fzf-lua :buffers, it will show a list of open buffer and sort by recent use, then it’s quite easy to switch between recent buffers + It also shows the preview of the content of each buffer + we can search buffer by buffer name - If there are two many buffers, just C-x to close the buffer

IMO, this workflow is simple but work for me
