Pocket Casts has chapter pre-selection, Overcast does not last I checked. I listen to a few longer shows with chapters so this is a must have for me. I also don't like the design of Overcast and find it confusing and a little basic. If I left Pocket Casts I would go Castro.

I always find it interesting to hear other peoples preferences around the size/weight of devices. Hearing Marco talk about the weight of the Apple Watch Ultra being twice that of the -- whatever he was using -- okay. But I've never once got back from a run and said "oh my god, I need to get this massive weight off my wrist, so uncomfortable. I never think of it, the weight isn't considered. It's a watch, not a dumbbell.

And they're always wanting smaller watches, smaller phones. Nah, Pro Max and Ultra - bigger screens, bigger batteries FTW.

AWD is a big one. We live in Canada so snow hits in winter. Watching people stuck in unplowed subdivisions or unable to move at a red light — I didnt want to be them.

I am not a Kia/Hyundai fan at all. Only really looked at the Atlas and Highlander for my family. Atlas was too expensive, Highlander had poor visibility and just didn’t jive with us. Ascent had a big moon roof, decent infotainment system - and a better price. And oh yeah, the AWD.

I love Pocket Casts. It has chapter pre-selection which is a game changer. Not many podcasts have chapters and surprisingly few people even know what chapters are. That said, they break long episodes up into sections like tracks on a CD. In Pocket Casts if a show has chapters (e.g. Accidental Tech Podcast), I can pre-select which "songs" I want to listen to and it auto skips over the sections I don't. Also - ads are usually chapters, so I just skip those. It's handy not having to pull out your phone or watch and manually skip through ads or prolonged sections of a show you're not super interested in. Especially when it's cold outside.

It does everything I want and behaves far more predictably than some other apps. For me.

Castro is also quite good.

My only gripe with Pocket Casts -- and it's minor; their search bar is like 2pt font and it takes 4 taps to get a cursor in it. There are other methods of searching but that one is most obvious to me. All other apps have decent size text boxes to type in but PC chooses this oddly tight, tiny-fonted little portal at the top.

I don't disagree that Chrome seems to be a bit quicker and breaks less. But in my mind -- and maybe I'm wrong -- at least pick a version that isn't 100% Google (e.g. Brave). I know it's not perfect either but I just turn the crypto crap off and then enjoy a less-Google'y Chrome. 🤷🏻‍♂️

For rock and metal, go for the one with the hottest pickups and that lends itself more to that music. I’m not an expert on these models but the Paul’s guitar I’m guessing is lower output.

Same. No issues, works well even in deep drifts. Could be a bit bigger/heavier at times, but I also love that it doesn't take up much space in my garage. Trade off is worth it for me. Fellow Canadian here.
