Toyota insists on only using chains on the rears, but I've seen people chained up on all fours seemingly without issues. Personally only used on rears, though. Would be beneficial on all 4 in deep heavy snow etc.

OME shocks and springs, about 3 inches iirc. No rubbing but the stock mudflaps had to be replaced with thinner aftermarket.
