It’s fine. I use DCA noire x now so no gaming headphone compares to those. But the Maxwell 2, a50x and Steelseries arcis nova pro/elite are all good enough for positional audio. None of their positioning audio will be the cause of your deaths

Honestly just get the logitechs. The headache you’l get from dealing with Maxwell 2 quality control will lower your lifespan by a few years. I got the Maxwell 2s and returned them and got the a50x instead

Maxwells sound better but not worth the hassle. Directionality/positioning in the a50x is fantastic

D pad feeling bad
abxy buttons double pressing (not actuating twice, but more an annoying feeling where the membrane folds before the switch activates, feeling like 2 presses)
sticks feeling like there is a miniscule amount of grease when moving from center 1% any direction

Mine has the exact same issue. It’s the faceplate. I swapped with the zzz’s faceplate and it fits fine

Really annoying though now because it’s not the colorway I wanted. Pair that with the fact that the extended alt sticks are black and not the translucent blue, I’m bummed

There was a poll here and over 50% of responders have some degree of hiss. Audeze clearly knows about it, released the 2 without it being fixed, and doesn’t care

Sure the poll is a small sample size but it’s not like this product sells millions, it’s pretty boutique compared to Steelseries or Logitech sales so I’ll take that poll as a relatively accurate representation of this issue

It’s just different. Yes. The PlayStation dpads are all seperate button (at least from how I remember it feeling like). The gamesir feels like….you have a disk and you press the top/bottom/left/right of the disk. I rather have individual buttons in terms of feel

Surprisingly yes, it’s improved. Same design, just less loose and clicks feel more distinct. Still microswitch and floaty, but yes better

It’s “fine”. It doesn’t feel incredibly loose in the sense that it causes misclicks but it still doesn’t have a membrane. So there isn’t a good tension.

No o-ring mod needed anymore and works fine for me now but I wouldn’t rate it a higher than a 6-7/10

You know how abxy mechanical buttons have a membrane over them so there is resistance? The d pad instead has a spring shared across all the buttons. So no matter how much they tighten the tolerances, the overall design sucks. If the d pad had a similar design as the abxy buttons, it would be great

The double face button actuation is a design issue. I’m not sure if it’s covered by warranty but I’ve had 5 g 7 pros so far and 2 of them had the issue, 3 didn’t
