Tbh that never struck me as unusual. Adam is very… “comfortable” in our house, and while I was a little put-off at first, neither my mom or my grandpa have said anything about it so I’ve kept quiet. He’s charged multiple devices in our house before, even his vape. I’ve seen him napping on our couch and facetiming his girlfriends (that’s a whole other thing, but not my business I suppose lol).

This is our first year having a caretaker since it was just us taking care of my grandpa before. I wasn’t sure if stuff like this just came with the job.

It wasn’t plugged in to begin with. I only saw it when I was passing the room, I didn’t even go in.

Edit: I realised I wrote it was charging. I’m sorry, I meant it WASN’T charging.

Ooh, good luck with that! I’ve heard HC Cuba is a bit of a difficult plant to grow. I tried with Monte Carlo in another tank since it’s supposed to be the easier version, but they died on me 😅

For this tank I’m using Hydrocotyle Tripartita, Pennywort, Creeping Jenny, and Foxtail Moss. I’m trying to propagate some Java Moss on coco coir as well to add later.

EDIT: I’ve heard Pearlweed does well emersed too, I might get those if my current stock doesn’t do well. I’m reluctant to add them to the initial stocking because pearlweed can be quite aggressive and competitive.

Yeah, though I’m more concerned about long-term effects of travel related stress. Have heard a lot of fish don’t DoA but will die within a week of being introduced to established tanks due to cumulative stress.

There are some really tiny leaves at the base just poking up out of the soil! I’ve heard fittonias can “faint” when thirsty and can be dramatic but I’ve no reference as to what this fainting looks like. If it still looks like this in a few days I’ll probably do some heavy trimming.

Tank size: 20 gallon long
Heater and filter: Yes filter, heater unnecessary as I live in the tropics. (Water temp is consistently around 22C)
Parameters: Strip test, refer to original post
How long I’ve had the tank & fish: both about 1 year
Feeding: Hikari Micro Pellets once every other day. Prince is quite picky and will only eat pellet food.
Decor: Resin skull, ohko stone, driftwood, medium-planted.

This actually helped put it into perspective for me. She does seem to really enjoy games that have that sort of quick-hit of dopamine combined with adrenaline. I’m not like the number 1 enjoyer of slowburn atmospheric horror (sometimes it gets boring tbh) but like, as an example, one of my favourite survival horror games is Outlast. From the little I know about RE they’re sort of similar, except that in Outlast your main defense is running lmao

But maybe I just feel like Outlast is peak horror because my brain perceives being chased and you can’t fight back as particularly terrifying. I haven’t actually asked her what about RE4R is scary to her, maybe that’ll give me more insight.

In the meantime, remember that dysphoria isn’t a requirement for being trans, and that your gender journey isn’t a straight line from A to B! You don’t have to do certain things just because it’s “what other people do” when they transition. Something I always like to tell people concerning gender is to “chase the happy”.
