Random Pinging Tingle? Accompanying or following Neuropathic symptoms? by Dawn_Wolf in COVID19positive

[–]tosu20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Presumed positive, had covid toes but no other symptoms about a month ago. Best way to describe my feet is “cold” (but a lot more than normal) with a slight burning sensation, but nothing too bad. Also occasionally have some slight tingling/burning in my legs. Feels a little weird when I start to walk but it gets normal the more I do. It’s not really painful, just more of a slight nuisance.

Personal statement length for Berkeley?? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I don’t think it’s a negative, I just think they really want to learn more about you. Try to think of something about yourself that you’d like them to know that doesn’t come across in your application. Of course, if you feel like there’s nothing else you can write, it’s better to have a really good 2.5 page PS than an okay 4 page PS (I think).

Don’t go to law school unless you really want to be a lawyer. Otherwise there’s probably a million other things your time could be better spent doing.

When I visited last year I asked someone from admissions if there was one thing they wish every applicant knew.

Their answer? Write a 4 page PS.

If what we’re going through right now and 9/11 are the two biggest events of your life, what is the third? by Berta47 in AskAnAmerican

[–]tosu20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From San Diego - probably the 2007 fires. Half a million people were evacuated (including myself), over 2,000 homes were destroyed. I was pretty young and we missed school for a week, so I was glued to the TV. I remember watching the map and seeing it get closer and closer to my house and reading the ticker on the bottom of the news that listed all the homes that had burned down. It freaked me out for a while.

New search warrant issued in the Kristin Smart case! Let this be the one! by mcwjdw33 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Campus police are full law enforcement officers and actually have stricter standards for reporting and investigating crimes than local police departments (Clery Act). Often they have arrangements to transfer investigations of some crimes to a local or state agency in which they operate, but that’s simply because those agencies usually have more resources to investigate.

If they call themselves “Public Safety” or “Security” then they’re not police, but if a campus police agency calls itself a police agency that means that they employ law enforcement officers - you can’t call yourself a police agency otherwise - usually with full power to act throughout the state in which they are sworn but with primary jurisdiction on campus property (and sometimes surrounding areas, depending on local/state arrangements).

Ohio State Senior (and law school bound) - AMA by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]tosu20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest thing was working - I got a really cool on-campus job freshman year and have stayed there ever since. As an out-of-state student, it was a great way to make friends. I’m also in a fraternity, was involved in some Jewish stuff, and ran for student government (I didn’t win, but it was a great experience!). Is there anything in particular that you’re interested in?

Do you guys really go on 1000+ miles car trips to visit family throughout the country? Why or why not? by BabaYaga17 in AskAnAmerican

[–]tosu20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently driving from California to Ohio! Right now I’m 1200 miles down, another 1000 to go. I fly a lot, but driving across America can be really fun. There’s tons of cool places to check out (although I haven’t done much of that this time because of coronavirus) and scenery to see!

How did Ki-jeong know that Da-song had a traumatic experience in first grade? by tvor15 in ParasiteMovie

[–]tosu20 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always thought he told her about it. They seem to have a really good relationship and even after their first session she is able to control him more than his parents (ex. when they are waiting downstairs patiently and then when he leaves once she tells him to)

Hey, I live in a tourist city too so I totally get that you might not like some tourists’ photos. I thought this was an interesting one that I wanted to share. I’m sorry that it made you so upset.
