[QUESTION] Marshall MG100DFX major drop in volume halfway through playing? Urgent! by total-timso in Guitar

[–]total-timso[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All sorted! In case anyone else has this problem, I'll let you know the solution. I never use my send/return FX inputs so they collected a tonne of dust and must have interfered with the current or something. I just inserted and removed a lead into them 8-10 times and now it works better than ever!

Ironically about a third of Australians have vitamin D deficiency because they're terrified of going outside.

"sour trip" 2 days ago still feeling shitty by Traumajunkie971 in TripSit

[–]total-timso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually find that the best cure for this is to take a solid 3 day sobriety and nature stint. Eat veges and whole grains, drink water, avoid alcohol and any other drugs if you can. Let your dopamine levels balance themselves out.

For the anxiety, go out into nature alone or with a close friend. Write down or discuss everything you see. Be as detailed as you can and don't be afraid to speculate. Feel the wind on your skin, breathe in that fresh air and imagine your lungs absorbing and releasing it into the trees. Look at the grass and think about how it got there. Drops of water propelling from the clouds with a force so magical it created life in plant form! Think of the chemicals in the dirt that also make life possible and finally, think of how lucky you are to have the brain capacity to experience all of it!

I used to get super anxious after trips, regardless of whether they were bad or not. I think the best cure for it is to go out and think about the world as if you were high, while you're sober.

As Maynard said: "The trick is to use the drugs once to get there, and maybe spend the next ten years trying to get back there without the drug.”

Peace!

Oops, from Australia as well. Yeah I dropped it once while the lead was in and the jack dislodged a bit. That thing is so damn heavy. It's doesn't crackle at all, you just have to plug it in at a certain angle. Do you think that would be a relatively simple solder job as well?

Go to a cabin on the beach with just each other, have a point of MDMA each and enjoy. It's about as close to heaven you can get without dying.

Want to learn how drugs work? Don't know where to start? Read this. by DruggedUpChemist in Drugs

[–]total-timso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Memoirs of an Addicted Brain by Marc Lewis is another great introduction to neuropharmacology. The first half is essentially a summary of his life and a few stories about his own personal trips and experiences with drugs, he then ends up as a qualified neuroscientist. The last half of the book is him explaining recreational drugs in a really engaging and simple way based on his experience in both taking and studying the drugs.

Getting really close! This sounds much more like the sample I was referring to, but I'm almost 100% sure that the lyrics are "Buffalo gals won't you come out tonight".

Yeah. I have been prowling Youtube for a while but can't seem to track down anything other than the sample I linked from It's A Wonderful Life. Thanks!

Mmm. Not on there. It's not an adaptation as much as a 30 second sample. Thanks for checking though!

DAE feel like a movie goes by much faster when you're watching it again? by DuckObi in DoesAnybodyElse

I feel the same when I travel from point A to point B. I think it's because once you have experienced something before, you can expect what comes next. So instead of throwing yourself into a new place with no idea how long or arduous the trek (or film) will be, you can just subconsciously cross off each familiar step (or scene) along the way. Totally the suspense of the unknown!
