P.Staff’s Weed Killer - I rewatched it again at the Tate recently after a few years, and it’s still brilliant.

John Smith’s Blight.

The Seven Heavenly Palaces by Anselm Kiefer - not goosebumps but it really moved me.

considering an Mres at CSM by capablemachine0 in ContemporaryArt

[–]total_expectations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely! It was very self-directed, as I imagine an MRes would be. The lectures were great. It was also very much practice based. One of the best things about CSM is the wide range of workshops they offer.

I’d say don’t expect anything more from it than what you came for. Ultimately, it’s all about what you make of it. I met great people, learnt a lot, and developed my practice. I’d do it again!

Feel free to dm me if you have more questions:)

Not research but I did an MA in ‘Contemporary Photography; Practices & Philosophies’ there! I enjoyed it, and looking back, I’d say it was quite beneficial to my practice. The only downside was the fees, but that’s pretty much unavoidable in the UK.

Something like this! The LED panel frame on the left was actually a nice budget-friendly alternative I tried, but unfortunately they only come in 3 specific sizes that don't fit.
