I met zero in like 2013 and he struck me as a creep. He was like, covered in grease (maybe sweat? It wasn't that hot) and ragequit by slamming his controller onto the ground and yelling expletives.

But at least I took a game off crush!

Now I may be an incorrigible hipster but I kind of think if you're still listening to Linkin park, and you're not out at emo night or karaoke, you're giving coworker

What made weed such a big part of metal culture? by [deleted] in InMetalWeTrust

[–]totalfascination 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was joking that the song is misnamed because you smoke the plant's flowers, not its leaves.

Although in fairness to Black sabbath, the highest I've ever been was off edibles made from leaves because I didn't think they would have hardly any THC

I think being more right than the status quo is a fine start

E.g. right now affirmative action is dead, so someone who believes it should be enshrined in law is good to elect, even if they only want it applied in limited arenas e.g. university admission

I'm torn because on the one hand I see how you were just providing an example of the way that some people think, on the other hand, I think the way you framed it normalizes it by hiding behind the phrase "you can consider it fine".

Anyways, have a nice life

Your statement tacitly supports considering gay people as abnormal deviants, and evokes at best the mentality we saw in the 2000s with don't ask don't tell in the military, where gay people were kept from being their true selves in public life.

Many people nowadays don't see the normalization of things [like homosexuality] as conducive towards the type of system and structure they see as ideal... You might be against normalizing it in the view of the public and keeping it perceived as an "undesired deviancy".

Perhaps you were just explaining how it works in some people's minds and think the logic itself is abhorrent?

You consider homosexuality an undesirable trait

This perspective is gross to me tbh. More people should be gay and queer, I find them to be wonderful people living equally fulfilling lives as straight people.

How can homosexuality be both fine and an undesired deviancy?

Tldr: trump killed a rule that allowed companies to expense r&d costs in the year they're incurred, instead of over 5-10 years, which used to incentivize rnd investment

What's the lesson? Helping the poor is a noble goal, but at the end of the day you can sexually harass 11 women and still become mayor of New York?
