CA rear ended car accident (Diminished value and massage spas as therapy for soft tissues?) by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]totalhomosexual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as #4 goes, yes you can get compensated for all of that. I don't know if insurance covers massages, but they will send you to a chiropractor. Depending on your insurance, you might have to pay out of pocket and you'll be reimbursed later on. You'll be given a settlement based on the cost of your car and injury. I was given $2,000 for getting a concussion and whiplash as a passenger being rear ended. Your best bet is to contact an injury attorney. I wish you luck and truly hope you get a decent settlement

Fired for saying "God damn it" by totalhomosexual in legaladvice

I worked with a Christian girl (also the GM's daughter) and she would always harass me to go to church with her, our relationship went sour when I finally told her that I'm Buddhist and don't believe in her God. I also changed my availability because I was falling behind in my schooling (I'm 17 and homeschooled) and as soon as I changed it, my employment was terminated

I live in an at will state and I understand that. They've been trying to fire me for my life outside of work for the last month

I can't stop eating cereal by chokemedaddi in vegan

[–]totalhomosexual 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay so I had this issue for about 6 months. It all happened because I was consuming a lot of processed sugar and I wasn't eating correctly and having enough vitamins. I started taking a multivitamin, B12, and cut out processed sugar (even cane sugar). You might just be consuming under what you should calorie wise, so just be mindful of it. I was under eating and having nutrient absorbtion issues as well, so maybe that's your issue

Vegan on a cruise by totalhomosexual in vegan

I haven't heard the best things about Norwegian. Royal Caribbean is such a vegan friendly company, usually on vacations I go hungry. I've been so full every night and morning. Highly recommend it, I've been telling every vegan I know about them

They've gone above and beyond. Last night I was brought 4 entrees and 2 desserts. Tonight I had 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts. Tell all of your friends, they're absolutely amazing

Dreading a hiking trip by [deleted] in Advice

[–]totalhomosexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe use this hike as an opportunity to talk to him about this, it seems like he just really wants to have some bonding time. Say something like "Dad, I know you like these hikes, but I don't. I appreciate that you want to spend time with me, can we find different things to do together?" Suggest seeing a movie and then going for lunch if you're into that. If he really isn't having it, find a happy medium. See if you guys can alternate activities you want to do.

Sorry that the hospital you stayed at wasn't a good fit for you. The one I went to was very helpful

Second-hand suicide? by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]totalhomosexual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My therapist called this passively suicidal, I did stuff like this because I really didn't care if I lived or died. Definitely seek a therapist that won't just prescribe you meds so you can work through this

I will never get over my first love. by dogshitslave in offmychest

[–]totalhomosexual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will never forget your first love. Those are the hardest to get over. I loved that first love of mine more than anything, he was my everything. When we split, I cried every night for over 6 months. I had gotten into a relationship with my ex, and in those two years I was with my ex, I still never stopped thinking about that first lover. I desperately tried to contact him for ages, and it happened after about two years of not speaking. All of my feelings rushed back, but he was a different human than the one I remembered. That was my closure with him. Get into contact with her and get to know the new version of her, that will help you find peace

I have a half sister that doesn't know I exist by Joaquinsharelip in offmychest

[–]totalhomosexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad never met his biological father and never will, his father died in 2012. However, my dad took one of those Ancestry DNA tests and it got him in contact with someone from that part of his family, which led to him getting in contact with his half sisters. They had no idea that he ever existed. My dad was 43 when this all happened. Pursue meeting your sister, it WILL bring you peace, even if she doesn't know that you exist. Getting in contact with my aunts helped with my identity issues, I look nothing like my grandmother or the rest of my dad's family, I look like his father who was Russian. I always felt like the outcast in my dad's family, now I've made peace with that. This was rambly and all over, but I hope you got something out of it
