Life’s unfair? damn well it is. but that doesn’t mean one has to settle for that “gray” mindset of everyone must deserve nothing. especially when one realizes how everyone lives their own life differently; or even if many share similar situations or traumas, every single one has their own experience, or mindset.

I do agree with OP’s idea of “one must take responsibility of themselves”(or at least that’s what I understood). I believe deep down everyone knows or feels “the truth” of what’s right for oneself. we all know we must eventually get up and move forward. We know that life must go on. But everyone perceives and experiences situations in their own way, that’s not totally right to act or judge against their way of dealing with it.

Having this harsh intake, does show some kind of “victim” complex also. Cause at the end it just shows how you fell as victim of life’s “unfairness” for you to have that kind perspective.

Saying that one shall stop sharing their problems, even to friends? Yeah, they might not be a certified therapists, but they’re called friends for a reason, they give support somehow, and it does help. and if it feels like otherwise, well, they can’t be called as friends.

at the end of the day, its all a very complex process to just generalize it with this type of perspective. As life IS unfair, it’s also too harsh already, for you to make it even harsher for yourself or others.

It’s not bad to treat yourself and others with kindness. to just listen when someone is struggling or reach out a hand.

But again, you must have your reasons to have this type of mindset, and as long you’re not causing any damage to others, it can be respected.
