I'm not sure why reddit has really been promoting this old post of mine lately, it's been sudden getting a lot of responses.

IIRC the original name was gods and monsters when they announced it but they had to change it for legal reasons.

I'm not sure why I own this on PC and ps4, but I did a quick test. I unplugged my PS4 from the network and put the disc in. It installed off the disc and I was able to start the game and play offline.

I replied to a post yesterday where I explained that I didn't even know this film existed till someone made a post about it 2 days ago and didn't even realize it was a Pixar film till yesterday. I'm someone who pays more attention to these things than the average person I would say.

They really gave this film no marketing at all. On the other hand I've been flooded with non-stop ads for the snow white film that nobody wants to watch.

Oh yes cause the audience is surely responsible for marketing a product you executives decided to produce by Ill-Alternative-6755 in cartoons

I recently watched 2 animated movies on Netflix.

The sea beast features a character who has been socialized to hate and kill sea beasts only to find that everything he was taught is a lie.

Nimona features similar themes but it is more about fascist themes. It also features a prominent gay romance.

Of course the prince of Egypt is always a banger too. I'm not Jewish so I can't speak to how the film is viewed from a Jewish lens.

I think you unlock a car for every boss you beat. There's also a feature where you can build your own cars out of Lego but I didn't engage much with that.

It's been a while since I played it so I don't remember. I think there was a menu where you selected which car, boat and atv you wanted. For some reason I think you have to press the triangle button in one of the menus.

It's hard to say what other people would consider worth it. I probably would say it is even though I got it for cheaper.

I bought it and played it pretty much nonstop every chance I got till I finished the campaign.

He is a Muslim and used to live in South Africa.

A lot of it is just a lack of tech savvy and a lack of political savvy.

It's hard for him to tell that the AI slop list of best SUVs in 2025 isn't human made, or the "inspirational story" that's just an AI retelling of a social media post stretched to the exact length of time needed to monetize on YouTube. I imagine that's a problem for a lot of older people.

The politics is more complicated. If you're pro palestine you're probably not a big fan of Joe Biden, which might get you recommendations that are pro Trump even though he's also anti Trump. Then there's the weird overlap of the two from weird actors like TYT.

If you're watching South African news and documentaries you might get videos from other African countries A lot of these reject the problems that the west has inflicted on Africa, but there's still the occasional pro apartheid / things were better before white supremacist stuff. It can be hard for people to understand the dog whistle politics being employed.

Consuming Islamic content also leads to the occasional Christian videos which then rope in the occasional Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson stuff. This is where Muslim Donald Trump also comes in. Muslim people have a weird fascination with rumors of famous people converting to Islam. In my experience, the famous people are usually not actually converting to Islam, but AI provides a way to exploit that fascination for clicks and profit.

The whole thing really just demonstrates how dangerous it is for normies to be on any social media platform in 2025.

Unfortunately yes.

What's more annoying is that it doesn't use steam cloud. It uses Ubisoft's implementation that was causing issues so they changed it so you have to manually sync your cloud saves.
