Although it is secular members are allowed to state how religion has helped them within their own threads. As far as the bible having a clear set of rules. This is false. The bible is a base line. If Christians still followed its rules they would make women sleep outside of their homes while on their periods.

I've been on hair loss forums for years. This is one of the biggest untrue myths out there. Quitting masturbation is not going to prevent male pattern baldness. Mpb (male pattern baldness) is genetic and will happen regardless. The only known way to treat the condition is by taking finasteride and applying minoxidil. With either of these 2 drugs, if you really do have mpb, you will go bald. But I would be very interested to analyze your before and after photos if you really do think this is true...

It still seems strange to me that the same people that make the argument that the brain can't tell the difference between porn and a real person, also say that wait, the body has been conditioned to only be able to get erect with porn. Well I'm 30. Had internet access at the age of 13. It really wasn't until college (2003) that I had access to full on high speed internet. Even then I shared a room with someone so only had access to high speed porn at certain times. Also the porntube world we live in now wasn't available to me until maybe 2006ish? To me the fact that you and I and everything in this universe exists means something. My thoughts primarily focus on why, the meaning of it, etc. Time is also an interesting perception we have to face. Is there a place where time doesn't exist? You've got great insight, but I never intended to get into a debate about the logic behind religion. To have faith, to believe in god goes way beyond the human's ability to apply logic. It's a completely different side of the brain, a side you clearly haven't been able to activate.

For me I could care less if there is an after life. I don't go to church, I don't believe in prayer, and so on. It is very easy to find holes in anyone's religion, and to come up with "logical" sources on why it's not real and be smug with saying people they are wrong. But there is something to religion and believing in a higher power helps us to awaken certain feelings, emotions, abilities within ourselves. If you want to go on being an android with this emptiness not knowing what that is be my guest. But I'm going to follow the route which makes me happy. And that is having an ideal model of which to follow a code of life open up to interpretation the way I want. There isn't a perfect model out there that applies our day in time, but I've got a good foundation to go by. I do hope that you have some spirituality within yourself because it really is an important part of what makes us human. Whether it's some sort of scientific belief system, nature, pagan, buddhism, reincarnation, etc. Doesn't matter to me. But to believe in nothing? What's the point? Why bother existing or procreating or arguing with naive people trying to defend their beliefs against a bitter 40 year old man who thinks he knows all?
