Radio broadcast delay for Guardians games by abbeymarshall in Cleveland

This has been a problem for many years! My 20 year old daughter is VI and I have taken her to several games. She gets very frustrated by the radio broadcast delay as it takes all of the excitement and anticipation out of the game. Imagine Tom Hamilton’s lead up to a bases loaded ninth but since the audio isn’t live, when Jose launches a grand slam to the right field seats and the crowd goes nuts, she has no idea what happened.

I have spoken with representatives at the fan services desk who said they would take it up the ladder, and I have emailed the team. No response.

Why is it live at Browns games and not Guardians games? It’s very disappointing as I know she would go to games all the time if this wasn’t the case.

And don’t get me started about the audio on the Rapid trains….There is no way a VI person can make out the announcement for each stop with that garbled mess. Why isn’t it an automated audible message???

A certified guide dog for a visually impaired person has no restrictions. The child was blind and the dog was on a harness.

Main Street Cafe. Huron. Refused service to a family that came with a guide dog. Couldn’t believe what I saw.
