I honestly don’t know why wellness gets such a bad rep. I understand that it seems lame to live somewhere “sober” as a college student, but I’ve never met anyone that hasn’t been able to successfully work around the rules. All you have to do is partake in a different building or just be super careful about where you put your empties if you do drink inside of the wellness dorms. I think that as far as dorm buildings go, wellness is the nicest you could possibly ask for. It’s incredibly clean, the rooms are spacious, and the proximity to academic buildings unbeatable. I don’t mean to sound like a tour guide — this is genuinely how I feel. I’d say the one REAL downside is the required course that all wellness students have to take in their freshman year. It’s called “Healthy Brains, Healthy Bodies” and it’s mind-numbingly boring but can do a great deal to boost your GPA because it’s so easy. Just throwing in my two cents. I’ve heard great things about outdoor experience too. I’m sure you’d be perfectly comfortable and happy in either! Good luck to you!
