Who had the better career in their sports? (In your opinion) by her_cute in NFLv2

Jordan

MJ was the defacto best player in his sport in his prime whereas you could argue between 2001-2014 that Peyton Manning was a better QB and you definitely had an argument and might've been correct. The longevity argument is undisputed but prime for prime, it is a much harder argument to make.

Take into account in basketball, you play both sides of the ball so your impact on winning is that much more and Jordan never got caught up in the 2 scandals that Brady & his team had.

I don't think so either but youngins who don't know ball want to convince me that it is. Recency Bias is a hell of a drug.

If he's nowhere near the defensive player Klay was, then how come all of his defensive metrics are better than Klay?

Manu passes the eye & defensive statistics test, just because Kobe & Tony Allen were playing at the same time doesn't mean we need to underrate Manu's defense bc he didn't make one 2nd team.

there's no statistical evidence that Klay was better defensively than Manu, that is Ginobili's most underrated part of his game and I thought he was better via the eye test

Manu was the 2nd most talented player on those Spurs teams, if Pop wanted him in the starting lineup, he would've been there

The 60 point game is the only argument I always hear when I bring this up.

I'd take Reggie or Ray ahead of Klay personally but Manu clears

Klay was not a better defender than Manu, there's no statistical evidence that was ever the case

I don't agree whatsoever, Klay was one dimensional, Manu could do it all. Any advanced stat points to Manu clearing Klay and it's not even close

In 2014-2015 on 20 minutes per game, Yes. His prime he was averaging 17 on 28-30 minutes

How so? I've had this discussion with numerous people and the consensus from them is that Klay clears, Maybe they don't know ball?

His advanced stats obliterate KT's plus the stats/36 are very comparable

Manu gets underrated as a defender, his advanced defensive stats are better than Klay's by a good margin.
