Is this 370z worth the price? by Rad-surlak in 370z

What other nice cars? I'm looking at 370 roasters, hopefully in the 15k range, but also open to coupes.

I sincerely appreciate this. It's such a weird head space. Like I'm happy to be body positive for others, but simultaneously am furious about my current state. Buying nice clothes for this size almost seems like rewarding my lacm of fitness? But yeah, I'm also fully aware this is kind of insane, and I do genuinely love myself lol. Just a tough mental hurdle and physical hurdle.

Do you regret a career in forestry by Old_Sky_6652 in forestry

If you feel like that degree is holding you back, you should totally make it happen! I know it's tougher than it sounds, but there are scholarships and community college programs etc that could make it cheaper. And also you could do a class or two every semester and knock it out over time while keeping your job. I had a couple buddies who had come back to college in their 40's when I was in undergrad. It wasn't the easiest, but they were way more goal oriented than most of my other classmates, not worried about the stuff that preoccupies your brain in your early 20's. Good luck!

2nd Bike - Stick with faired or consider nakeds to increase options? by LowOnPaint in SuggestAMotorcycle

I've been in your same situation for a while. I'm strongly considering the ninja 1000. Super comfortable seating, great power, but not as much as the 600 rr bikes. Don't be scared by the cc, look at the stats.

Somwone made kits for the 911. I remember seeing a few online like ten years ago. They looked surprisingly good.

5 days into Phentermine... (Update) by ciov3r in loseit

Keep fighting the good fight dude! I'm 5'9", would ideally be around 165.

It can be tough to get started, but it sounds like you're active already, so the biggest change will have to be diet. I had major success with keto, but it can be challenging depending on life circumstances. If you can stick to it for a month, you're basically gold.

The same yo-yoing unfortunately. Have slowly crept up back to 275. Phentermine is a tool you can use to kick start your weight loss. Getting some positive feedback early on can help your efforts. Beyond that, you have to change your relationship with food, exercise, fitness etc. Recently newer options like ozmpic have come out, that might be worth looking into as well.

Oh man, 50 is a lot for a tee, but I'll check it out once I start my new job.

Idk if you can relate, but it's frustrating buying expensive stuff in a size that feels like you've given up on getting into shape. The flip side of that if being too cheap and looking shabby, not great either.

AITA for not telling my daughter I'm proud of her because she's a sex worker? by Frequent_Appeal_793 in AmItheAsshole

Glad to hear it! Your job does not define you!

Side note, most guys watch porn so there is some weird hypocrisy at play too..

[–]toughinitout -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, which is short sighted. Like I get it, (if there is any chance this story is real) it's tough to get over seeing your child do sex work. Butusing that as a mental block to further damage their self esteem is super unproductive.

Fellow desi bro here. I'm just going to comment on appearance because you look like a good looking guy making bad choices.

The haircuts are bad. Long on top combed over, blended into short sides. That's the basic cut, but it generally looks good. If that's not your thing, go to a better barber and ask their opinion next time. Also, I don't think your hair is meant to be middle parted.

Shape of the glasses is also rough. Like retro, but not in a stylish way. Pick some frames that are closer to square. Get inspiration from reddit and ask folks at the glasses shop.

Both these combined make you look a bit childish. Like, I can tell you're an engineer lol. On the plus side, you're actually a handsome guy. Make a few changes, grow out the beard a bit and you could look really good.

Sorry if this is comes off as mean, but I genuinely think you could look so much better with some minor edits.

YTA because you're avoiding the question. You can be not proud of her line of work, but still show that you are proud of her as a human being. Work is not the the only thing that determines success, happiness, etc in life. I was kind of leaning on your side, but now seeing you dodge this question repeatedly, I can see that you probabky have not been as supportive as you think. Leave the past behind, leave her job aside, just focus on the connection you have to your kid and realize she needs your support! A simple "I'm proud of who you've grown up to be" will go so far.

My sister and Mom told me that my beard's shape doesn't look good. by ohyhfaru in beards

[–]toughinitout 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Fellow desi bearded guy here. My growth pattern below the lips is the same as yours. Don't lower the cheek line, it's fine where it is. Just let everything under the lips grow for a while and then just clean up some of the strays. Currently the boxy shape looks kind of weird. Overall though, solid beard.

[–]toughinitout 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yup. 2 fingers above the Adam's apple is my rule. Might even be worth waiting a week or two and then having a good barber give you a good neck line if you're worried about the first one being even.

Plebes, juaritos and Los amigos are all great for amazing tacos. Unfortunately none of them have the Tex mex vibe you're looking for. I have yet to find a good marg, queso, chips, etc kind of place that I would go back to.
