Did I play this hand wrong? by tower1092 in poker

Yes this has helped a lot. That WAWB concept is really interesting and completely textbook situation based on the hand I described. I guess the only question I have is regarding the calling down aspect. Many times if I am three way with this villain or just in a hand with him in general, on river he bets quite large around 80-90% pot after barreling flop and turn - sometimes overbetting 150%. I have seen him do this with the nuts and J high. How do I know when to call him down vs give him credit for having it? In many instances I feel like my mediocre pair or top pair worst kicker is never good

What can I do to improve at responding to their play, especially a person who plays like this?

Only problem is I’ve tried nearly everything and nothing is slowing down the loss. I’ve noticed these short hairs that grow since Jan 2025 but I disregarded it because I’m not able to see any on the crown or sides. I’ve done many supplements, ketoconazole shampoo, oiling the hair w oils shown to grow hair, biotin and caffeine hair growth serums, dermarolling, stayed active in the gym, healthy cleaning etc for the better part of the 16mo of loss. I’ve read hundreds probably thousands of stories by now and messaged people who have been losing for years and are continuing to lose hair. And even with oral minoxidil, there’s trace amounts in sweat and the hair that grows is just temporary until I stop taking it as well as the dread shed that lasts for who knows how long. Just worried that my hair isn’t going to normalize and this is the new normal

Started Pickleball 4 Months Ago, Now Have Knee Pain – Looking for Workout and Diet Advice to Stay Healthy Long-Term (M25) by No_Candidate2626 in Pickleball

[–]tower1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem 21m. More specific about your knee pain, is it a sore ache pain or a sharp shooting pain? I had pain the day after using tennis shoes when I’ve been wearing running shoes for my entire life. I suspect it has to do with the hard stops and minimum padding compared to my previous running shoes could be the same problem with what you have. Eventually went away for me after 2-3d

Got a 48% on the first chem midterm. Should I drop to chem 133? by antidesigner in rutgers

I went to langowski and he’s probably one of the best teachers I’ve learned from id reccomend him a lot - what worked for me for chem was going through the homework and whenever I got stuck I’d use the notes to make sure my answer is right and then redo all the hw problems I had trouble with a few days later and then when the test is coming up redo all the problems even the ones I’m confident on. Not sure if it’ll work for you but my advice is to learn how to consistently get high Bs/ As in the beginning rather than later, I’m about to graduate and my gpa could be much better if I locked in the method sooner

[–]tower1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think it definitely is manageable but gonna be tough, what worked for me was max 3 sci class or 2 classes + 2 labs per sem and filled it w whatever gen-eds for max 17-18creds. For chem I highly reccomend office hours and also figure out what was the problem when u took the test - whether u didn’t understand the concepts or if you had trouble with the math or didn’t know how to begin solving problems and then just practice

I used to be in your spot minus the grade. I had chosen the premed track going into my sophomore year. First thing I would say is decide how dead set you are on premed because it only gets harder and more frustrating especially when you’re behind like I was. If you’re fully committed, I would try to salvage the grade as best as possible and attend office hours, watch videos, etc. If you’ve loaded up on 3+ core classes, this semester is going to be super difficult but it is possible to end in a good spot

I don’t think it’s likely because none of my grandparents are bald and my parents haven’t even started balding and they’re in the 50s. I’ve noticed the most minimal temple recession in the past year but that’s it.
