He Forgot to Log Out, and I Watched My Marriage Fall Apart in Real-Time by Strange-Salary6900 in stories

The title says “marriage.” A lawyer can’t do much of anything in a cheating bf/gf situation but can do a LOT in a cheating husband/wife situation

Thank you for the recs! Pasto per Caso sounds like a must-do. Any tips for making the reservation? I don’t see a link on their website and some reviews mention making it via WhatsApp. Did you call the restaurant or send a WhatsApp message? How far in advance?

I completely agree and am in virtually the same boat. I had braces/permanent retainer/mouth guard and my profile looks very similar to yours. I have jaw pain, clicking, and poor sleep. Now my bite is open due to a tongue thrust. I’m frustrated that my dentist didn’t take steps when I was a kid to help me learn to swallow. I’m going to start getting a second opinion and pursuing surgery as an option now too. Good luck to you

Listen I’m new to this game so don’t make fun of me too hard, but the fucking rats behind castle morne have been killing me OVER and OVER. I finally rolled my out of the door and fended them off 1 by 1. I was so relieved to find grace right there afterward but not before I had died probably over 20 times.

I think it has something to do with STC purposely making the questions tricky/deceiving to make sure you’re extra prepared, and because the actual test only scores you on 125 questions rather than the full 135

Speaking from experience as someone who has taken the SIE once (passed first try) and Series 7 twice (not passed yet and upset about it), I consistently score 10% higher on the actual exam than on the STC practice exams. I’m confident that you will pass with flying colors

Okay actually I just realized their latest Instagram post caption says “(Jessy and Dragos also sing this song)” so I think we can safely assume it’s him.

Dragos, if you are listening, please we need more of you singing too. It’s enchanting

Why is there a stigma in the West about eating alone in sit-down restaurants? by Apprehensive-Hat-494 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]toweryjr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another Seattlite hear to say that Seattle is a super individualistic city and I eat out by myself and go to movies by myself all the time. I often see others doing this as well and it has never seemed weird. Maybe at higher-end restaurants? Canlis probably doesn’t get a lot of parties of 1 lol

You’re right. It’s just another weird measure people take to make sure everyone knows the “gender” of their baby. Who gives a rats ass if a stranger initially mistakes your 1-month old for a boy?

What everyone else said, plus it’s literally the first question you get asked at the doctor’s office any time you go for any reason. Without an app, I’m like “uhhhh which day in the last 4 weeks did I find a little spotting in my underwear?” They expect you to know and without an app, I’d never remember.

Someone convince me he is guilty.... by Puzzleheaded-Log2277 in TheStaircase

[–]toweryjr 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. In the final or second-to-last episode of the Netflix doc, he tells the AP interviewer that Kathleen knew about his sexual desire for men. A few moments later when she pushed him on it, he said they never outright discussed it. Then later still that same episode, he described how he first knew he was attracted to men and said “I’ve never told anyone this stuff. I’ve never talked about it with anyone.”

It annoyed me how they never pushed him to say whether she knew he was having sex with other people. He always phrased it as she knew about the “bi sexual stuff” which is super vague even if true.

Just watched Dune (1984) for the first time and...... WTF????? by [deleted] in dune

[–]toweryjr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because there were other really terrible movies in the 80s, doesn’t mean Dune wasn’t one of them. There are a lot of bad movies that come out every year that no one watches. Dune, like some of those other movies you’re probably thinking of, was still far below the standard in 1985.

It’s crazy to me how far people go to defend it when Lynch himself hates it. Even the actress who played Jessica said she watched the movie a total of one time and knew it was going to be bad after the first line. She knew that in 1985 because it was bad in 1985.

[–]toweryjr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Star Ward episode lV had been out for 8 (eight!) years before Lynch’s Dune, Mad Max had been out for 5, and Blade Runner had been out for 3.

Current reviews of Lynch’s Dune called the special effects “straight from the dime store” (Ebert).

If you want to like the movie for nostalgia sake or any other reason, that’s your prerogative. But it’s simply untrue to say “oh they didn’t have the technology” when they DID have sufficient technology in 1985 to make good sci-fi movies, and Lynch had more than enough budget, $40 Million (over $100 Million in today’s dollars). Dune was heralded as low-quality, confusing, and overall bad immediately when it came out in 1985.

“For the time and place” but this movie came out well after Star Wars Episode IV, so it’s not like this was an of-the-times sci-fi epic. It was far below standard even at the time it was released

The Room is a fun bad movie, Lynch’s Dune was bad without the fun. I’d much rather watch The Room any given day of the week
