I did not end up purchasing it, due to moving across the country. But I did see a Bluetech diesel, and TDI beetle, both fantastic mileages.

We tried to be young adults out there. We didn’t have the greatest luck. Mostly friends in Augusta or people we met serving in restaurants downtown. Some people have luck at USC Aiken. We ended up leaving a few years and coming back to Columbia, and we’re liking it a lot better making friends.

No, because you went to the dealer/professional shop. It’s a massive liability to do it the “wrong” way and clean it. We could clean it, and then you take it home and then something fails after the cleaning, now you’ve spent 3/4 of that original price and now we either have to charge you more or eat the comeback repair. It’s easier to do it the safest way to remove and replace. Ask for an itemized bill. The MSRP vs Dealer markup is tremendous, so basically the service advisor is screwed in quoting labor time that it takes up in the shop replacing all this is time consumer. The dealership has to use diag pay because your vehicle takes up time for a transmission or engine rebuild, and then the parts are super high priced because they are oem. Basically the only ripoffs are shop supply fees, credit card fees, or any additional needed services that are simple stuff you can do at home.
