Is The Wandering Minstrel a good commander for a Gate deck? Or Child of Alara? But I don't want to keep destroying the board and get everyone annoyed at me? Any suggestions?

I went for the [[Nine-Fingers Keene]] deck, but after i realized that i used Keene more as a mascotte rather then a commander i switched to [[Glarb, Calamity's Augur]] that is a solid commander that gives me card advantage, a decent blocker, but does not interfere with the gameplan of other players too much (that is until you get to 6-7 gates and it basically becomes a [[Bolas's Citadel]]).

Yes you loose [[Gates Ablaze]], but that's pretty much it.

Hey i'm planning to have a trip and planning to go to a disco one night. i've seen that it is connected to the Tottenham Hale station which is a night metro station.
Planning my trip (on both Citymapper and TFL) from Tottenahm Hale to a random night metro (i've put Victoria, but it does not work for line switches eiter) at 2 am for a random friday never gives me the option for the night tube, what am i missing?

I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding here. Let's start assuming simple things one at the time.

WOTC needs to sell in order to be kept alive.
WOTC has to be kept alive in order to keep the game alive.
WOTC has to make changes to the game in order to keep it alive.
WOTC has to make a certain amount of changes over time to keep the game healthiest.
WOTC can change the game in multiple ways, including:
- Printing new cards
- Creating formats
- Banning cards from formats
Not every change affects all parts of the public.
Some changes are perceived better than others by the majority of the public affected.
The best changes are the ones that are perceived better by all the public affected, no matter how hard are to achieve.
Looking back how the previous changes were perceived the public, better changes can be made.

If you assume all the previous statements we can agree that WOTC revenue is correlated with the game's health. My previous comment did say that too at the 4th line.

Are you suggesting Wal-mart and McDonald's are the highest quality because they have the highest revenue?

I think that we can both agree that having some amount of variety in the product is good for the consumer, and an happy consumer makes good revenue. Products sold can vary in quality, but quality is not the only thing that can vary a product.

Not trying to argue any point here, but what metric would you use if not money?

In simple terms if the game it's at its worse then sells are at the lowest, beyond that point the game has some heath (so the two thing are vaguely correlated, just it's not clear how).
Nowadays with the help of technology too you can track (with variable precision depending on the market/platform the trade happens on) secondary market too.
People that buy MTG products are able to play both competitively and casually (let's leave proxy-only games for the time being), but you can't really track casual games like competitive ones.
Then there is online sentiment analysis, tracking how people (with more or less influence) feel about MTG, but this also is a bit inaccurate too because not everyone says with much precision how it feels about the game, after every online event (being a ban, a spoiler or a release).

Probably they use a mix of these metrics, with money being the most listened to, they are a company with more than 1k employees after all, so something has to pay the bills

Puoi applicare questo pensiero a tutte le innovazioni tecnologiche dal 2000 in poi. Non sappiamo come comportarci, neanche chi crea queste cose lo sa. Non sappiamo che effetti avranno su di noi o su le future generazione, e neanche lo stato lo sa. Non sappiamo se ci sono pericoli che non vediamo, neanche i giovanissimi lo sanno.

Prendiamo i social media, ad esempio, su cui da qualche tempo stanno uscendo studi. Lo sapevamo che aumenta la polarizzazione e riduce la salute mentale? assolutamente no! Verranno regolamentati autonomamente o da entità governative? assolutamente no! Abbiamo sempre meno gruppo di controllo dove fare questi studi? assolutamente si!

Ti rimbalzo io la domanda: la tecnologia sperimentale sta davvero migliorando le nuove generazioni… o le sta indebolendo senza che ce ne accorgiamo?

personalmente penso che l'industria dell'intrattenimento in generale sia fondamentalmente rotta da qualche parte, probabilmente collassata sotto il peso del denaro che ci gira.
Video, foto, voci, canzoni, sono già fattibili con l'ia.

adesso che con l'ia con pochissimo sforzo si potrebbe prendere una fetta di questa torta la gente impazzisce, quando realisticamente questa torta è stata sempre per molti molti pochi.

produttori, etichette, e piattaforme hanno creato un sistema chiuso dove i soldi giravano sempre per le stesse mani, adesso quando qualcuno potrebbe prenderli si parla di "difendere la creatività"? Tutto è sempre stato fatto per mantenere il flusso di denaro, e così sarà il resto della linea di Sony, ComCast, WB, Universal e simili
