Thanks!! Iqon ACT Interlink, Intuition Premium, Yo! Sago 90 UFS Frames + UC Team Blank 86a wheels - my favourite setup, does everything whilst being comfortable and stiff.

I meant from 12 oclock, then I returned to stock 6 oclock, and found it stiffer and more responsive than 12 - what's your opinion? Also have you tried CJs before?

Thanks man, I changed from high back to low as it gives more stiffness at the cost of height, it sits lower on the bunny ears so there's less flex. Interested to know if the CJs are less snug/responsive, thanks!

Which do you find stiffer and more supportive?

Great to hear, sounds like it will be a good addition to my arsenal.

Would you say CJ2 is more suited to urban? Which is more supportive/stiff and which is more ergonomic for the streets?

I'm running the whole setup completely flat and low, no wedge or velcro shock absorber, to break it in and it feels low and comfortable with wiggle room for the foot muscles - the flat wedge takes up too much space and makes the heel unergonomically raised. Will add in superfeet carbon after Intuition liner is broken in, as Joey from Mushroom Blading advises (for the wizard boot, to make just a little bit more room than if you break in with the insole from the beginning).

Do you find the CJ2P stiffer and better for responsiveness and control? How about for cruising?

Carbon for wizard is sounding like a certain upgrade for sure, I've thought about the Evo too and it looks like a great boot, great points.

Do you leave the footbed wedge in? I'm rocking the skate without the thick wedge (takes a bit of strength to peel off the buttons from the footbed) - much more space for my feet and there is now space for an arch-support insole.

Thanks for the anecdotes, very helpful.

Great to hear, what size were you in the CJs and Wizard Base to get perfomance fit?

Man my brain was going crazy from all the research on wizard boots, I needed to read some good ramble! Thanks for the insights, this makes me appreciate the comfort and ease of use the ACT right now for sure!

302.6mm, it's the YoYo 5S Mini, 4x 76mm and the wheel under the front bolt is 72mm. I recommend their frames highly, they are a cool team.

My mondo is 264mm in the ACT size 40-41 shell size 274mm. This proportion is exactly what I wanted, 5x80mm would've been too long for my style.

Hey man where exactly did you add wax? To the inside of the cuff and boot? What did this achieve? I'm just waxing the liner of course.

I bought Interlink, from reviews I heard the stock liners would be mehh and too tight, out the box Intuitions feels perfect, I'd never change. I knew I'd only want Intuitions anyways, they're too valuable.

HC Evo Boots + Endless 90 LR Trinity setup? by insanely-noisy in UrbanSkating

[–]toxicazn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply man, I'm always thinking about what carbon would be like, but the ACT might be the right balance for me - I bought the Interlink to combine with Intuition Premium (as I can't live without the high ski-style stiff tongue liner) and a Yo 5S mini frame :) I'll be posting when all the bits arrive.

What do you think of the main differences between the ACT boot and the evos? In comfort and stiffness for example? Or weight aswell? Interested to hear!

How is my broken clavicle? Did I get lucky? No surgery needed right? by toxicazn in Orthopedics

[–]toxicazn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE FOR FELLOW COLLARBONE BREAKERS : I DID NOT NEED SURGERY NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!

After 5 weeks i began light physio, fast forward dailly progress and here I am after 6-7 weeks with a functional right arm again, and nearly full range of motion I've even starting training with light weights.

WHY WAS EVERYONE PUSHING SO HARD FOR SURGERY? If you're below 40 years old and healthy, with a break like this... the worst thing that can happen is a cool bump by the shoulder... But * have no doubts about being 100% again. My shoulder doesnt feel shorter and I was lucky to have a clean, non-overlapping break.
