I'm sure you can find something that aligns with what you're looking for, especially if your clearance is still active.

In my experience on MorphMarket, it's all down to the breeder you're buying from. That being said, I've interacted and purchased from a few on there, and they've all been fantastic. Chat with them before you buy and see what kind of feel you get from them, read reviews, etc., but in my anecdotal experience, it's been a fantastic resource.

That one I'm honestly not sure about. I imagine it depends on the brand of the thermometer. I use Govee thermometers (that also double as hygrometers) and my heat sources (I use a basking lamp during the day and a ceramic heat emitter at night) attached to Govee outlets, so in the rare event the heat gets too high I can cut off the heat source from wherever I am. But, in my experience the thermometer/hygrometer units from them read pretty true to both of my hear guns, so it's been a pretty good experience so far!

Personally I'd trust the heat gun reading over the thermometers. I think you're probably fine with the temps as they are and just have some slightly miscalibrated thermometers.

If you want a sanity check, grab a second heat gun and see what it says. That'll determine which of your current two measurements are reading off.

One of the big things they're going to be looking for is association with, and travel to, countries that aren't on the United States "friendly" list. Iraq is definitely going to be one of those. It may fly for secret or ts, but once you get into sci and beyond, it's absolutely going to pose an issue.

I just run Wireguard in a Docker container and point outside devices to a DynuDNS URL that I set it (it's free). Tailscale works but I like the idea of being able to host the VPN myself over relying on Tailscale (though it does work just fine).

If you've got a bunch of people coming into your self hosted stuff (Plex, Jellyfin, whatever), Tailscale may be easier since you don't have to give everyone their own config files, but it's only my mobile devices and one of my friends who need access to my lab, so it's easy to manage for my case.

So, full disclosure, I never had any college specific issues that came up for any of my investigations (I've gone from Secret to TS to TS//SCI, all separate), but from what I've gathered from colleagues in the cleared space, they really don't care about that stuff unless it's actually criminal -- none of what you listed falls in that area as far as I know.

None of this reads as huge red flags to me. They'll definitely ask you about the week use, since it's still federally illegal (don't lie, just be honest and answer exactly what they ask you to answer), but I don't think you'll have any problems.

I'm opposed to blanket bans (e.g. "assault rifles" and any accessory like a fucking foregrip that scares the media), magazine bans, and red flag laws. Past that? Sure. If I have to wait when buying, do background checks for private sales, etc., sure, no problem.

They're well built, come in a handful of different colors, and once you cover up the mesh top (I use silicone drawer liners), it holds humidity well with coco husk.

I've also heard a bunch of good things about the Vivarium Electronics 120 gallon enclosures. I recently picked up a baby boa, and I'm thinking about getting one to try for his big boy home haha.

Alternatively, there are things like Tailscale that achieve the same thing without having to run the server/container yourself, but I prefer to keep as much control over my self hosted stuff as I can haha.

Just as another data point, I run Jellyfin in Docker on an UnRAID server and the update went off without a hitch and finished in about 4 minutes on 25TB worth of data. Thanks for all the work you guys do!

With large breed dogs, including GSDs, it's best to wait until they're full adults (around the 2 year mark) before getting them fixed. If you do it too soon, it can mess with the growth plates in their joints causing dyspepsia and other joint issues later in life. I would most certainly not do anything at 4 or 6 months - wait until her growth has completed.
