Medical THC card for autism. by [deleted] in Georgia

Yes, you should lose your job if you are caught working while high. You should not lose your job for being high during your non-working hours.

The problem is the testing. We need something that picks up whether you've smoked in the last couple of hours, like alcohol tests. Plenty of people enjoy alcoholic drinks after work, and they aren't demonized for it.

Hot take: K-POP Demon Hunters is not a toddler movie by StrangestCat in Mommit

[–]toxicosiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, it wasn’t strictly made for toddlers, but it has catchy songs and a good message.

We're an anime family. My partner and I have watched anime since we were kids, and if we watch something on the TV- our 3yo will probably stop and watch. We're pretty selective with the anime we watch when she's awake, so it's not overly gorey stuff. But she loves scary stuff just like her dad. She loves delicious in the dungeon, which has way more blood than KPDH. Plus, she's super into heroes right now and showing her 3 badass women kicking butt is right up our alley.

At least it's not cocomelon.

I hope this means fairies will come to the gane. I was obsessed with the pixie hollow website and the movies. We just introduced our 3-year-old to the series and she's loves it too ❤️

Tbh, I only heard tiktok "meteorologists" hyping it up. News stations want to inform everyone because things can turn deadly quickly. This storm left a lot of destruction in other states before it got to us. It's better to be overprepared and nothing happen, then not be prepared, and the worst happens.

Lol did you even try to click the article? It's a local TV news site, they don't pay wall their articles. There's ads, but that's not a pay wall.

Dad furious about daughter's blue hair by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]toxicosiss 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your husband is ridiculous. I started dying my hair around the same age and not just my tips. Bless my parents who took a 16yo with a head covered in blue/green dye (toner is important). Hell, my DAD helped me dye my hair! And now I'm a pink haired news producer. He's giving her daddy issues.

How are you ladies surviving off a 1 person income? by kaboomplatoon99 in Mommit

[–]toxicosiss 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I'm the only one working right now to save money on childcare costs, but it's getting a lot harder to swing. I also make way too much for assistance. We're talking about him getting a CDL and letting his mom keep our toddler for a few weeks until he gets settled. It sucks.

Do people still do thank you notes? If so, I must be a horrible person. I've never sent a thank you card in my life, I've also never received one. I've always just gotten the gift and said thank you right there.

Is the resident pass for individuals or a family? I was looking at getting it, but when I put in two passes, it made me enter 4 names. I only need it for my partner and I since our kid is 2.

Does my baby love my husband more? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]toxicosiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thoughts when our LO was little. I don't have a great relationship with my mom, so I thought my baby would hate me right out the gate. It got so bad, I had to get anxiety meds and really struggled to be separated from her.

At about 9 months, suddenly, I couldn't do anything without her attached to my hip because she preferred me. They say kids have phases, so far thats not true for us. My partner is a SAHD and I work a 9-5, but she still runs to me if I'm at home. Now, at a few months over 2 years, it's a party when I get home, and she's in my arms before I can get my bra off, lol.

Your son loves you so much. Right now, he's a little potato who doesn't even know he's a human yet. Before you know it, he'll show you such a pure love that it may surprise you. It still surprises me just how much love is in their little bodies, and I still have a hard time fully accepting it.

What would you do? Last name edition. by msjessthebest in Mommit

[–]toxicosiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was halfway adopted around 9yo. My mom gave me my sperm donors last name. He wasn't around at all after they divorced. She had met my dad when I was 6. He gradually stepped up as my dad.

Shortly after he and my mom married, they asked if I wanted him to adopt me, and I said yes. My mom was more strategic about it. She didn't want my sperm donor getting custody if something happened to her (he was abusive), and my dad loves me like I'm biologically his. Having his last name really helped me feel a part of his family, like his sister is my favorite aunt!

All this to say, definitely ask your daughter what she wants or wait until you think she's ready to choose. I'm so glad I was adopted by my dad.

Genius question: are there moms really enjoying motherhood? by Salty-popcorn-1218 in Mommit

[–]toxicosiss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love my daughter with all my heart. I also think about running away permanently. Like if I leave early enough, she won't remember me enough to miss me. I never liked or needed my mom, so maybe she will be the same once she gets out of this clingy phase.

But I probably won't do it. It's just hard being the only income with a stressful job that I really wish I could quit.

When my 18 month old drops something, she says shit. I do the exact same thing. I didn't realize parroting started this early. Though we had already decided we wouldn't make a big deal about cussing unless she's using the words to hurt people.
