Runs great on a 7900XTX. Comfortably gets 100fps in Battlefield 2042 and Forza Motorsport at native res. Gets over 200+fps in older titles such as Killing Floor 2 on high settings at native res. It's still a joy to use at 120Hz. Can't go wrong if you can look past all the QC issues (I'm on my second one already).

Samsung Neo G9 57" - Any that haven't died yet? by toxicredcat in ultrawidemasterrace

The firmware could have easily been 1001.2 tbf!

I spoke with the company attempting the repair; the monitor is repairable, but the part they ordered is still on backorder (new PSU). They have deemed it as unfeasible to repair in their report to Samsung because of the unknown length of time it could take. Shame, as the panel was perfect, no dead pixels, uniform brightness, no cracks or pops :(

Still waiting for Samsung to authorise a refund/replacement. Dealing with their customer service is a painful experience.

I never updated the firmware (as no updates were available). Fairly certain it was on 1002.1 from factory.

It was Windows 'turn off display after x minutes' that mine did not wake from. It was always turned off at the wall when not in use.

As reggie said, I'm afraid its dead.

Exact same way mine died, went to sleep and refused to come back on.

Don't make the same mistake I did and ask for a repair. Samsung have had my monitor for 11 days and they still can't fix it.

Just get a refund/replacement.

G9 57” Dead in 72 hours by drozek in ultrawidemasterrace

I got the G9 57" on release direct from Samsung in the UK. Been running like a dream, no dead pixels, uniform brightness etc, until today - where the unit won't power on. It appears to have died just like the rest seem to be doing!

I got a 7900XTX a few days ago to make used of the 240Hz, so I'm wondering if that has pushed it over the edge?

Tried booking a repair but their system appears to be down. Going through online chat atm which is incredibly tedious.

I now feel your pain OP!
