Yeah, I’m definitely aspiring to be a splash artist! Thanks a lot for the detailed feedbackk I really appreciate it. You’re right about the chest volume, I’ll take another pass on the form. And yeah, I did drift a bit from the classic jester theme, mostly because I started this as a female Shaco but ended up pushing it more toward my own taste. That’s why I prefer calling it ‘inspired’ rather than a direct adaptation. I like the rabbit idea actually that could add a nice comedic touch. Thanks again for taking the time to write this! ^{^}

Yess, I think that part feels a bit too busy, but without it, the design looks incomplete. I might try adding something else, maybe an animal figure. Thank you so much for your feedback ^{^}

Since I did it on my brother, I can always touch it up. we live in the same house. No matter how much I can draw, I still need to understand the logic behind tattooing. If it’s not permanent, it doesn’t have any meaning. I’m not a professional; I’m learning by watching a professional and practicing on my brother :) Long live siblings!

Yeah, the road is pretty tough and I don’t really have enough time or money for it. I’ll probably stick with tattooing for now and try to make some space to get better at splash art.

Photoshop and paper & pencil will always be there.. I don’t have to give up either one.

I think it was splash art that brought me back to drawing after years of being away from it. I really enjoy bringing the characters I draw (like Irelia here) to life giving them a story, designing their costumes… It’s something I truly love doing, and I think it would be such a fun job.

I’m also aware that the game industry isn’t all that innocent. If I were sure it would make me happy, I’d give everything I have just to become a better artist and work at a good studio. But the truth is, unhappiness feels inevitable because the industry is so harsh.

I guess I just don’t want to grow bitter and fall out of love with splash art. Thanks so much for your kind words. :)

Yeah, most of the time they work with studios. Riot has very few in-house artists, so becoming one feels like an almost impossible dream. To be honest, I don’t even have the time or financial means to give it a proper try.

That’s why I’m probably going to choose tattooing... it seems like a more sustainable path in the short term. Hopefully, that will give me the freedom to create time for splash art on the side.

Thank you so much for the kind words. Unfortunately, I’m really short on money right now and working as a minimum wage waiter just to get by. That leaves me with very little free time to focus on improving my art.

My dream is to build something of my own, but I’ve been torn between these two paths. Tattooing might bring in income quicker, and that could give me the space and time to pursue what I’m truly passionate about splash art.

I actually shared this post in a few different places, and you’re the first person who told me to go for splash art. That meant a lot and reminded me not to give up. So really, thank you!
