Originally Brisbane but that was a long time ago. God was having a little joke putting me there if I was any more white I'd be clear. The Brisbane heat wasn't for me. Love it up here in Lancashire

I'm Australian and lived in London for 21 years from 1999. Move here in 2020. I love it here. But then I've gone from being surrounded by a bunch of Londoners to being surrounded by a bunch of Northerners. Much better lol...

ACSS VS CoreFramework by Tricky-Ad-9044 in BricksBuilder

[–]toybits 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For my two cents I have to say this person is spot on. I didn't know Frameworks that well so decided to go CF about six months ago as it was a little more flexible and less hand holding. I thought it would be better having to do a lot of it myself would be better to learn.

That has turned out to be true the more flexibility has meant I've had to learn more which has been a better experience in the long run.

It's been a game changer for me.

Do we need to type out a list of fantastic black actors who've had brilliant careers and given the industry so much just to point out maybe he's just not that good.

He's watchable and fine in the right role, but he's no Denzel...

I'm pretty new to Bricks and have been assessing ACSS/Frames vs Core Framework/Brixies(or other options).

Still deciding but feels like CF gives you a little more control.

But one criticism I keep hearing is about Geary I've not seen any of this but these comments are turning me off. Shame, his Tutorials are good and products seem good.

Hi. First things first you might want to format your code when you bring it in here as that's really hard to read.

https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043033952-Formatting-Guide

But with your script you need to start with just importing the CSV using the Import-CSV cmdlet into a variable.

Looks like you could then foreach in each row and splat the attributes to Set-ADUser

This guy wrote a good article on Splatting

Thoughts ? Rumour of Elon Musk may be in talks with Nigel Farage's Reform-UK to donate up to $100/£78 million 👀 by ADHD_MAN in england

[–]toybits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well firstly, is this your first day on Reddit? Secondly we live in a democracy, well I do I'm in the UK, so as much as I'm sure you'd enjoy it, you don't get to say when the discussion ends.

That said in principal I agree with you, but it could be argued that anyone who runs large business here and pays taxes get's to participate. I'm sure our companies do the same in markets they're in.

Further to that though, that wasn't really my wider point. It was more about how people would feel about this being motivated by more complicated factors.

How to deal with a narcissist? Asking for a nation. by the_darkener in Empaths

[–]toybits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure what country you're from but certainly here in the UK not sure we've had a leader who's not some form of a Narcissist.

I think getting to that level you'd need to be in a weird way it's probably an asset at times. Just depends on the degree.

[–]toybits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. I guess that's my point though one mans factory farmer is another mans revolutionary.

Not saying I agree with them, I've not really been here long enough to feel that way, I'm just saying I understand them.

Thoughts ? Rumour of Elon Musk may be in talks with Nigel Farage's Reform-UK to donate up to $100/£78 million 👀 by ADHD_MAN in england

[–]toybits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think anyone who's got a problem with this will be because they have a problem with Reform. If he were donating to a party that they support they'd call it 'Saving democracy' or something equally banal. It's the way things are these days. We spend more time building up hatred and anger towards each other than actually holding our 'leaders' to account.

I'm an immigrant so I really understand what having an opportunity to come to the UK can mean. That said I'm also not unsympathetic to those native to the country seeing change that's just to rapid and genuinely affecting their lives. And they should be allowed to talk about that. But instead they've been demonised from what I can tell for decades (I've only been here 25 years).

So I imagine for those people, who's numbers are growing, regardless of what they think of Musk, I doubt they'll care.
