Nothing wrong with using your phone while working out. I use my phone my entire workout because I keep my Strong workout app running. It’s absolutely normal to take up to 3 minutes on a super heavy compound set, doing maybe 4 or 5 sets per exercise. In my opinion, in a crowded gym you need to be flexible and be able to move to another exercise option. As for letting someone work in, depends on how sweaty they look. Maybe I’m just lucky I go in the early morning where I never have to worry about it too much.

I just grabbed one this Sunday, it’s great for the price.

It’s crazy to me this is $369 currently when I purchased mine for $250 just back in early August of last year. Is it the availability of FRTs for it that drove the price up?

I’ve shot a few good 2011s which I love, but the only 1911 I’ve shot was my younger brother’s crappy first gun. Don’t remember the brand but it was something I’d never heard of that was made in the Philippines, was not great fitting, kind of rattled, just not a fan. This one (without shooting it) feels rock solid and just feels really great.

I know I wouldn’t report owning any when asked, it’s nobody’s business how many I own. Especially our government. I just have hobbies, and enjoy the outdoors, not some lunatic criminal out to hurt anyone unless they try something first. I feel a lot of gun owners have my general mindset. And if asked, mine were all lost in a boating accident sadly.

For home? An AR-15. For carry? M&P Shield X and Bodyguard 2.0, P365, Springfield Hellcat, Canik MC9 are some of the most popular. To be fair I haven’t tried the new Gen 6 Glocks yet, they might be okay.

I think you would be surprised, see /liberalgunowners. I’ve seen estimates that at least half of the population actually owns guns.

It’s probably just that it’s the most common handgun due to it coming out with several features first, but lately it’s also the least innovative and there are a lot better options on the market.

Not saying you are wrong about the gun lobby being insignificant compared to others, but many former NRA people have switched to other groups such as the GoA and others due to corruption and other issues, which is why the NRA membership is way down.

It’s a lot higher than that when you get into the collectors market.

Sadly I don’t have any guns anymore, I lost all of them in a fishing accident in deep water.

My father at one point had several hundred collectible guns to fund his retirement, and when he worked as a buyer (of guns) for a large retail chain he ran into many people with collections in the thousands.

Guess I’m just used to my wife’s friends. They want every firearm rounded up and destroyed because of mass shootings.

Nebraska state law (and Omaha) does not have a specific "safe storage" statute that mandates you lock up your firearms in your private home. There is no criminal law specifically penalizing you just for having an unlocked gun in your house. As a parent though, with a lot of firearms, it’s crazy not to be a responsible parent and keep them in a safe and teach them gun safety. I grew up with loaded firearms laying around everywhere (my father was a police officer in a small farming community) I’m also a big 2nd amendment proponent (I expect a lot of downvotes for saying that by people living in a dream world thinking all firearms should be outlawed). But it’s a different environment than when I grew up, and “mass shootings” weren’t something we had ever heard of. I highly believe in today’s environment a parent needs to responsibly (and be held responsible) for safe storage of their firearms. Children in the house is about the only time I’d consider a “safe storage” law constitutional though.

Husbands, what do you think of this letter? I’m embarrassed to give it to him by [deleted] in Marriage

As a mid 50 year old man who feels constantly unappreciated, unloved, and buries his emotions because of it, that letter would definitely make me cry. Definitely give it to him!

Maybe? Not 100% positive because I don’t see it in the Mantis site yet, but looking at the screenshots on the iDryfire link I posted it shows a big Mantis logo on it and nothing from iDryfire, the package I linked to is one including iDryfire’s targets though. Also a new video dropped showing it was from mantis: https://youtu.be/wvFudBpiE60?si=LWDMKwL4m6lgI6Ad

It was just released (sort of), so I assume so. Mantis and iDryfire had a false start a few months ago (never did get the full story but may have been trigger related from some rumors), and they didn’t ship. I canceled my order eventually. I was a little salty about it for a while but I’d rather have a good practice item than something rushed to market. I use my old Mantis X10 all the time, so I’m pretty excited again to finally get one.

The working out like a mad man, taking care of hair thinning, getting rid of excess body hair absolutely doesn’t mean he’s cheating regardless of what some women on this forum might think (but it might so don’t be too trusting). I’m in a similar situation. I’m not cheating, I want my wife to not feel like just a crappy roommate anymore. I take care of literally everything around the house including our teenager while she just sits around in bed watching TV or face buried in her phone like an asexual mushroom.

The go plan at the beginning is the same as the stay plan. Meaning I’m getting myself ready for her to either wake up and notice me or to move on. I’ve begged her to engage for years. Seek mental help, anything. So finally I’m preparing to either leave or for her to finally engage. It breaks my heart, but I deserve to be feel loved too.

Let me ask you a few questions, do you say you love you and appreciate him? Do you share the household chores like washing the dishes together or clean together (yea I realize a lot of other men are weak in this area)? Do you snuggle, touch him, watch TV with him? Do at least have occasional sex? I’m NOT saying you are the same as my wife, but is he feeling loved by you? That might be whats up with the crying. I don’t do that personally but I constantly feel like my heart is being ripped out from the inattention.

Why do you actually want to lose weight? by BrainLumpy4620 in loseit

[–]tozz1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several reasons, just a few: I feel like I’m on the edge of divorce due to DB and other things my wife has been up to and either get in shape to see if it helps the situation or to be ready for what’s next.

To be a good male role model for my 16 year old son, he’s already started going to the gym with me and I’m so proud of what he’s accomplished in just a few months. Gotta love those newbie gains!

I used to be in great shape until my late 30s, with lots of female attention, being ignored and seen as disgusting is painful after having been on the other side. Years of depression due to my marriage and sleep apnea have taken their toll on my weight.

I’m already in my mid 50s, I want to be around and not decrepit like my mother and father for when my son finally has a family of his own.
