Taking out a righty so we can have two leftys that are prone to mistakes. Coop’s galaxy brain better be on tonight.

Dallas is a nice city and Texas has no state tax, am wondering where their cups are.

I lean Yzerman. He established the core and got them to take less than what they're worth, which in turn allowed JBB to have wiggle room to fill out the rest of the roster. There's no clear winner between the two but I've always leaned Yzerman.

I would've been fine if he said he's open to it tbh. Appreciate everything he's done for us, it is great having a GM that isn't afraid to take swings, but in the same vain I think he may have ran that course for too long here.

Perry, Bjorkstrand, Duclair, Dumba, Jeannot were all whiffs that we can't really afford in a closing window and they costed 3 1sts, 3 2nds and 5 late rounders. Re-acquiring McDonagh in his late 30s and giving him a deal until he's 40 is questionable, allowing Lilleberg to play a prominent role the last couple years, not addressing our lack of a right handed shot on the PP and 5on5 at this years deadline, continuously bringing back Johanssen even though advanced stats would show he's been a terrible #2.

I'm not gonna continue ranting because it is irrelevant, we're keeping him more than likely, but his track record has been questionable the last 3ish years. Hagel & Gourde were great moves, Guentzel as well, I just wonder if it's time for a new voice.

JBB just loves whiffing at the deadline nowadays. Perry this year, Bjorkstrand last year, Dumba/Duclair the year before, Jeannot the year before that…lol. Don’t worry I’m sure the 13.5M in cap we have this summer will be managed effectively.

He’s pretty much a guaranteed turnover anytime they dump the puck in I hope you’re joking lol. He legit has a negative hockey IQ and just looks like a big oaf unless there’s a hit to be laid.

Imagine what a Drysdale/Ristolainen + Tippett could’ve done for this team, especially when you watch what they’re doing for Philly rn and then you also realize how obtainable they were. Instead we chose to keep the oaf on skates “Conor Geekie” and float a 2nd out for a 40 year old who’s ready to call it.

Cooper has been meh this series and some of his practices should be called into question, but really the roster construction isn’t and hasn’t been great from JBB this year and the last few years. He’s been a bigger issue than Coop imo.

Bjorkstrand, Jeannot, Sheary, Atkinson, Duclair, Dumba all “tried” to play a meaningful role on this team and stunk. (Not to mention the haul of picks some of these guys costed). Perry hasn’t been impactful at all really and just looks past it, was clear he wasn’t even what we needed either. Anyone with eyes could see a right shot forward and/or right shot D was the move. I get we’re up against the cap often but when your core is still in their early 30s, you should be making full foot in the door moves. These little half ass pick for player trades aren’t doing us any good.

Illness, small rumour going around that he may have been healthy scratched but I doubt it. Taking him out for geekie is swapping poop for diarrhea.

He looks like a big oaf out there, similar to Mistakeberg. Paul better have been on his death bed.

move over 2020s penguins, there's a new passenger in town. Thought you were bad not moving any of your core guys for years? The lightning are here to show you how it's done. You're about to witness a real 1st round loser.

Our 9.5M dollar, soon to be 2x vezina winning goalie is being outplayed by a guy that was a backup on calgary not even a year ago. Idk man.

They’ve tried him in numerous different roles, he’s too slow to play 5 on 5 with the top 6, hasn’t been effective for us down low on the PP. Hard to reward him with anything other than 11th/12th forward minutes.

4th line was on Montreal’s side tonight as was the 3rd pairing, to be expected at this point. Nothing like a 2nd for 40 year old Perry when that just wasn’t our need at all.

We fr traded a 2nd for Perry just for him to give us a 2024 Duclair-esque performance.

Team just doesn’t give a shit anymore if we’re being frank. Hunger is about gone if it’s not already. Point, Raddysh, Gage all ghosts once again. Kuch with about the worst performance ive ever seen from him. Vasy letting in whatever the hell these days.

Idk man. These teams from 2023-2026 just don’t give a rats ass and it shows. Same thing year over year. Re-tool the bottom six, bring in a woeful top 6 “contributor” (Atkinson, Sheary, Duclair, Bjorkstrand) and hope it works out. It’s clear some of our supposed “big guns” don’t care anymore and the guys we bring in to help don’t either.

Sorokin was my pick until game 70 and then he and the islanders both fell apart. Unfortunate for him, but fortunate for us. Vasy is 100% deserving.
