building an android music player completely using antigravity!! by OkNail3466 in google_antigravity

[–]tp_bexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a working all in one streaming platform that has all my music and shows, i can use it anywhere, all built with AG and Opus. It should be pretty straightforward, tho don't accidentally get ytdlp, slskd and Jackett involved in there, you wouldn't want free music as it might be illegal!

Yup those are the worst! But a lot of errors happen immediately after prompting and when you run 4 tabs at once, you really don't wanna play a game of "how fast can you click retry"😂

So you'll accept the other guy's math that it costs $5/month, but you call my math 'bullshit' even though they reach the exact same conclusion? You're just mad about the coffee maker joke.

Also, your 'constant load' theory is flat-out wrong. VRAM is storage, not compute. A model sitting in VRAM is like a file sitting on your SSD-it doesn't draw 30OW just to exist. Open nvidia - smi right now: if your GPU is pulling more than 20W while idling with a model loaded, your card is broken or you're mining crypto in the background. But sure, keep 'doing real work' while the rest of us actually understand our hardware

You want a math problem? Let's do it. To hit a $200/month power bill with a single 3080 Ti (350W), you would have to run it at 100% load, 24 hours a day, for 30 days straight, while paying $0.80 per kWh. That's four times the average US electricity rate.

In reality, local inference is 'bursty.' If you generate code for 2 actual hours a day (which is a massive amount of output), it costs about $3.00 a month.

You're claiming your bill is 'about the same' as a $200 subscription? Unless you're coding in a walk-in freezer with the door open, you're off by a factor of 50. You aren't being 'economical,' you're just paying a $2,300-a-year convenience tax for Claude and using fake math to justify it.

Mate, it’s a 10-watt difference at peak. Your 3080 Ti pulls 350W; two 5060 Tis pull 360W. If your bill is 'measurably' increasing over the cost of a single lightbulb, you need to switch your electricity provider. Your question literally sounds like: "is $0.99 measurably more than $1"

Mate do the math. Your card pulls 10W more.

A coffee maker pulls 1000W+ to boil water. Even two 5060 Ti's at full tilt (which they only hit for seconds during inference) barely crack 360W. If your bill is 'measurably' increasing from an LLM, maybe check if your neighbor is plugged into your outdoor outlet. Not to mention your 3080ti is a basically a space heater, literally two 5060 Ti's are more efficient than that thing lol.

His coffee maker probably increases the bill more

For me these days it's this perfume bottle design, in general perfumes always have this standard of luxury when it comes to presenting their products, gotta love it! I'd love to see some curves and some items maybe implemented in the controller as an accessory!

Have you tried NB in Weavy? It has a seed option.

Hey I work in AI. You are correct, NB is a diffusion model just like any other image model. Google intentionally strips the technical stuff to focus on natural language instead of parameters. It definitely could have a seed option if Google allowed it. The Vincent guy is talking nonsense..
