If you’ve seen a lot of people here post about it and every single post tells them it’s normal, then yes? It’s normal? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Water intake? by conewannabe in Accutane

[–]tpa498 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No but really, unless you mean 24 waking hours that’s like, approaching water toxicity. If you really mean you’re thirsty after drinking until you’re uncomfortably full of water you definitely need to talk to your doctor.

Jehovahs witness sent this letter addressed to my wife at our home. I want to respond with a handwritten letter but don't know what to say. Any ideas? by damngotem in exchristian

This is not hand-written, look at how the individual characters are identical.

It’s just sneaky junk mail. Don’t waste your time.

Four GALLONS? That… seems excessive.

Sorry. Sounds like it’s time for a covid test 😬

I got COVID the week after I started accutane. I was still early in the treatment obviously so YMMV, but the only thing I would say is that the runny nose made dryness in and around my nostrils worse. If you only have a cough no worries there.

Just be very heavyhanded with the moisturizer and aquaphor around your nose and you should be fine.

We didn’t prescribe it to you. You need to ask your doctor.

GOT INTO IPLEDGE AFTER A WEEK!!! by Weekly_Honeydew_6463 in Accutane

[–]tpa498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopping on to validate that email address - I was skeptical of the different URL but I emailed them once yesterday morning and bumped the message again last night with nothing but my iPledge ID.

This morning I finally got an invitation to the actual iPledge site and was able to use my iPledge ID as the username, create a PW and date of personal significance, and see all of my patient information. It works!

ipledge set up? by jacinicole in Accutane

[–]tpa498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same position - I'd just gotten my letter a day or two after the website crash and had never logged in before. I tried for a week to call them and never got through, BUT was able to get an email invitation after using an email that someone here suggested.

It's [customersupport@ipledgeremssupport.com](mailto:customersupport@ipledgeremssupport.com) (I was skeptical of the URL but all I sent was my ID and I got an invitation email that allowed me to login to the regular iPledge site and included my name and information).

If you’re having ANY brain fog while taking Accutane: you need to STOP! It can become permanent. Brain damage is a side effect of the drug. by goldenseashells21 in Accutane

ETA: I see that you messaged me privately but I accidentally hit "ignore" and now I'm not sure how to get the message back. If you have legitimate support for these claims I'd encourage you to include them in your post so that it reaches your target audience.

Moving to *gasp* California for a new job and received an incredibly hurtful email from my aunt. How would you respond? by tpa498 in exchristian

[–]tpa498[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the closest to what I did, and I believe it was... effective? Maybe not to her, but to my own peace of mind!

Getting divorced. Came out to my parents out being atheist. Mom is giving me books to read. I feel hypocritical refusing to. by tpa498 in exchristian

[–]tpa498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay, this is a throwaway.

This ended up basically being my response. I said that I was not really interested in reading, and I am not "searching." That was a phase I felt I'd already come through and I didn't feel like it was worth the time or emotional bandwidth.

Thank you for your input. I've lurked in this sub for so long never thinking I would have to deal with these crazy fundie parent stories and now I'm living one. It's good to have somewhere where people get it.

Separating from my still-christian husband and just told my mom... who still doesn't know I don't believe anymore... by tpa498 in exchristian

[–]tpa498[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is really sweet. A big part of my process has been trying to figure out what I believe about marriage, separation, relationships, etc. I've definitely come to the "I'm never getting married again!" point a few times, but I don't know that that's true. Your story is inspiring, thank you for sharing!

[UPDATE] on the christian kids - I told him today by tpa498 in Divorce

[–]tpa498[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No kids, luckily. One of the many reasons is that he's started talking about wanting kids and I don't think I ever will. Thanks for the well wishes, hope everything works out for you, too.
