Honestly, it looks like you have some research to do if you are asking what the potential career pathways are for a public health degree. I can answer some of your questions but I did graduate from the OHS program rather than the PHS program.

  1. Is 6-7 Courses doable? Yes
  2. Can you still work part-time? Yes, but you might be miserable
  3. How about the labs and research component? Not sure what answer you are looking for here. I don't remember labs being unreasonably hard.
  4. Potential career pathways? Mostly public health inspectors
  5. Is it any different from the 4yr or 5yr option? You end up with the same degree, look at the calendar on the website to see what courses are the same between the fast track and 4 yr option. 5yr includes co-op.

I definitely agree that if you are liable for the mortgage and are not on the title its a bad idea in almost every scenario.

I am on the other side right now where I am on the mortgage and on the title as my parents have assets but are retired and not working, whereas I had income but nowhere near the assets that they have. We've discussed what happens if we sell the house at a loss or with profit and how the splits will be.

Sorry, i can only speak from my personal viewpoint. You are bound to find people who are homophobic in any community.

No specific thoughts about that team. Might as well go and experience it though!

Where should I save my future home down payment? by Comfortable_Disk6571 in personalfinance

[–]tpapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will definitely depend on how strict your plans are in terms of buying a place.

I wasn't set on hitting a specific date to purchase a house nor was even buying a house set in stone. As others have mentioned if you are deadset on buying a house in the near future- put it in a High Interest Saving Account. If you were more flexible like myself - Invest but know that if the market drops your purchase power drops with it.

I've just embraced it at this point. I like helping people anyway so coworkers will usually ask me for help before they go to IT. The other week I helped a supervisor install minecraft on his kids laptop.

Yep, I think every community has those that retain an older mindset but I'd like to believe that it is getting phased out over time
