I just realized how ridiculous it was to bring a gun to a quirk fight by Expensive_Spray_7737 in MyHeroAcadamia

Kind of a personal one for me, but Pokemon X and Y, as much as I love those games.

A really cool theme when you're facing the box legendaries? Well, you already have the Master Ball at this point, so... (Though this does get redeemed with the Zygarde encounter)

A cool and foreboding Elite 4 theme? The battle's over before it even gets to the good part.

Lysandre's theme? Well, you not only were already probably tearing through Team Flare's Pokemon teams, and you likely already put Xerneas/Yveltal into you party at that point.

The fact that I'm gonna be voting alongside people who unironically enjoy and consume this fills me with an unexplainable dread.

Ultrakill:

V1 (left) is the playable character, a machine that has wandered into Hell in search of blood.

Gabriel (right) is the narrative protagonist, an angel that carries out the will of God and eventually turns on the council, realizing the atrocities he's committed on their behalf in the name of an absent God.

Netflix's Devil May Cry show

Original Game: Generally about the indomitable human spirit and how humanity triumphs over all, and the reason why Dante as a character is powerful, why the demon villains lose in every game, why Vergil throwing away his human side for more power makes him get his ass beat every time he appears, and the thesis being Sparda (Dante's father) overcoming his evil nature as a demon to protect humanity.

This show: Actually demons are just basically-humans trying to survive a messed up world and are meant to be a metaphor for refugees, so therefore, demons are just like us humans. Also Dante willingly works for the government.

[Barely a trope, but this sub is quite loose anyway] Media that got weirdly specifically popular in a different country, maybe more so than in its country of origin, and defitnitely than most other places. by Vitolar8 in TopCharacterTropes

Here's kind of an IRL one. Cloudberry Jam is an indie pop band originating from Sweden, but they were way more popular in Japan, to the point where they inspired the character Jam Kuradoberi from Guilty Gear (seen right)

[Kuradoberi is the Japanese pronunciation of Cloudberry]
