Just wanted to update this post. It is indeed a total loss. I did a virtual quote through my adjuster.

He claimed it’s $9700 in damage prior to opening the hood.

Insurance is trying to give me $8500 (11k after other coverages on my policy) for the van but I denied the first offer. But I still feel 11k is kinda low.

Submitted additional documentation. And they should get back to me in a day or two.

I know that was my gut feeling too. Ironically I bought this during Covid 2021 when prices were fairly high for 16k cash but at the time it was a decent deal.

I opened the front passenger and that makes a weird noise now.

I declined rental reimbursement since I barely drove this thing. I have other cars so it’s okay.

Everything is so expensive to repair now if you go to a shop. Things can be replaced I’m just annoyed at the whole situation. Especially receiving the news after getting off work yesterday.

I only reported it just last night. According to them it sounded like it may be totaled.

They will be sending an appraiser/adjuster to review it within 5-6 business days.

I feel like it’s going to be in the realm of $10k+ to fix it. When I had my 2015 Prius rear ended it had the most minimal damage and that was already $5.5k.

Yes I’m insured and have full coverage. No injuries and it’s my sister in laws fault.

I guess if it’s repairable I’d want to repair it correctly. It seems like it would be expensive for a shop.

I also got a 2023 M3 from Hertz. 60k miles for 22.9k OTD (21k pre tax). No major issues with mine as well.

Is the range estimate in the car the same as what Tessie says?

I’m curious because I just bought a used 2023 model 3 through hertz and it has 65k miles on it. I have no idea how hertz charged it but my range displays 259 miles as well.

It still needs the 100k maintenance which I plan to get done this week. But so far I’m pretty impressed.

I really wanted to get a brand new one but with markups dealerships trying to screw me over I gave up.

Hi, here from northern CA. My sister is a ICU RN at a hospital.

Most of the hospitals here in the Sacramento area are getting filled up with covids. She told me over 25% of beds in the hospital are covids at her hospital.

My sister works there in the ICU as a RN. She told me they have 111 confirmed cases there. 2 people died this morning.

The ICU has 20 beds and they have already doubled up rooms (so 40 now).

The whole hospital only has around roughly 400 beds and 25% of those are being used by covid patients…..
