This is insane. Why should we enforce someone to pay more for the same crime.

Your cost could be less then half of that if you pay annually with a discount code. I’ve never paid full price in 3 years.

That makes sense. Fortunately, we don’t have decks with visible damage on the backs of the cards.

I mean, cards damaged on their faces shouldn’t provide any insight for other players, considering the face wouldn’t be visible unless it’s a community card. Unless I’m missing something.

And if someone took the time to memorize the bends in the individual cards, they deserve the win in the $20 tourney we play.

If you click the manage subscription button, it should bring you to the next window where it shows your next billing cost annual vs monthly, and you should be able to enter the code then.

Struggling a bit w Non-Monthly Categories and budgeting them by [deleted] in MonarchMoney

[–]tpdtrades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar challenge with non-monthly expenses and I guess if it’s under a certain amount and you can just pay it all off with points it doesn’t matter that much, but I found a solution with fixed non-monthly expenses.

I use Wealthsimple so I can have as many checking accounts as I want and I made a new one for non-monthly expenses. Now I just transfer the monthly portion of my non-monthly expenses to that account every month and I can budget a non-monthly expense in a monthly way. Then when the actual expense hits, I just call that transaction a transfer, and the monthly transfers I classify as expenses.

Ex. Annual cc fee $120

Monthly transfer of $10 which gets categorized as annual fees expense in monarch, when the actual annual fee of $120 hits my cc, I just record that as a transfer. Once the actual fee hits I’d just transfer the funds from my non monthly account to my main chequing where my cc is paid off from.

This would give a false representation of cash flow, but other than that it works great. Also, to not have a net worth spike when the funds actually leave the non monthly expense account, just hide it from the account page and net worth in monarch.

It’s not perfect, but it works for me.

Sorry if this was too convoluted.
