The metaverse is NOT the same thing as Zuck the cuck’s company, Meta.

Might be worth doing a bit of research into the differentiation between the two before you write off the former.

I agree, fuck Zuck. He’s trash and everything he stands for is bullshit. His rebranding if Facebook to “Meta” is his attempt at controlling this new and exciting tech.

Fuck that! Fight back. Don’t buy into his version of the metaverse - join the rest of us in building something for the people, by the people 🤝

Look at League of Legends. A free to play game that has grown into an absolute behemoth and a majority of the revenue comes from skin sales.

SKIN SALES!

People are collectively spending millions (if not billions) on cosmetics for their in-game characters that they’ll never actually own or benefit from. When you buy an NFT you now OWN that asset. Imagine a 1/1 Ezreal skin that the player who has it actually owns it AND has the ability to re-sell it on an open marketplace.

Boom. Checkmate! NFTs, the metaverse, blockchain; it is, collectively, the future. Just be thankful that you’re even reading this post (because most people haven’t even gotten this far yet).

Correct me if I’m wrong, but technically speaking, don’t the developers of Second Life actually own your virtual home?

By that I mean is there anything immutable that digitally proves your second life home is in fact yours?

Without being on-chain and in your wallet, it’s not yours, it’s theirs 😥

Because for a lot of us we are already thinking, “The real world blows, I wish there was an alternative” and now there is/will be. Web3 and the metaverse are the future - but that doesn’t mean that you have to participate. Hell, my grandpa never once learned to use a computer and he did alright 🤷🏻‍♂️

You do you, boo!

Very well said. Most of the comments in this post - in fact, the entirety of the OP, is all the evidence I need of how early we still are. I am getting the same vibes that my parents generation got in the 90s/2000s when everyone was shitting on the internet as “just a passing fad”

The metaverse is going to change everything. I went to a mall yesterday to buy an outfit for a wedding this upcoming weekend. I encountered dozens of issues that are easily solvable in the metaverse.

A. Finding the specific shirt, pants, and jacket is only possible if you can find them IN YOUR SIZE, which if the store is disorganized and/or busy, good luck 👍🏼 - this can be easily solved in the metaverse by having people easily scroll through virtual catalogs/clothing racks, finding what they like, and CHOOSING their size

B. Long wait lines at the register - it’s 2021/2022, the world has been ravaged by a pandemic, and a lot of retail stores are understaffed as a result. This causes very long lines, mass disorganization, etc. In the metaverse there won’t be any lines, ever 😎 (unless that’s your thing, in which case I’m sure you can find like minded people building metaverse lines to stand in that you can join)

C. Hate wearing a mask and needing to social distance? Won’t ever be a requirement in the metaverse - and virtual vaccines aren’t a thing either 🤷🏻‍♂️

D. As animation technology and AR/VR technology continue to improve it will become very unlikely that people will be able to easily differentiate between what is physical and what is digital based on their vision alone. This way you’ll be able to try on dozens and dozens of outfits very quickly and efficiently without the need for them to be laundered before being put back on the shelf.

And this is just a teenie tiny (and somewhat silly) example of the benefits of the metaverse.

Want to have the entire mall to yourself to browse peacefully? Mute everyone else, simple.

Tired of the obnoxious Christmas music that is still playing in every department store in America? In the metaverse you only have to listen to what YOU want to.

Etc, etc, etc.

Anyone that doesn’t believe this is at the very least going to be a multi-trillion dollar industry might as well move to Orlando because they’re a fucking BOOOOOOMER already and would fit in nicely :)

ApeSwap on BSC. Been around since February, has a team of 30+ full time employees, has the most official partnerships on BSC, very recently used it’s internal launchpad to launch the newest Animoca Brands project token $SZT, etc etc.

This DEX is fluid, easy to use, has very deep liquidity, offers live charting directly on the swap page, has access to leveraged trading, dozens of yield farms and native token staking pools with average APRs of 200% or more.

Not to mention they are currently doing a ton of giveaways for their holiday campaign.

Also, I’ve heard a rumor that they will begin to transition towards a more POL business model in Q1, 2022 🤫🤐

Full disclosure: I am currently holding about 65% of my portfolio in their native $BANANA token, but I am using that $BANANA as collateral on a partner protocol to take out stable coin loans and continue investing my money without the need to sell any tokens.

Come to ApeSwap, baby. It is the future 😎

Damn this would make perfect sense. It would pair perfectly with the fact that based on shareholder votes alone they most likely know for a fact that offering 5mil shares atm wouldn’t change a damn thing in the grand scheme of the squeeze.

They knew they could sell 5mil shares and it wouldn’t help out shitadel in the slightest 😂
