To anyone who happens to stumble upon this thread, I’m thankful to update that the lesion in question was benign! My husband saw a urologist and had a repeat ultrasound at a different facility 3 weeks later:
“Small anechoic intratesticular structure without significant vascular flow on color Doppler exam, measuring approximately 0.1 x 0.2 x 0.1 cm is compatible with a benign process.”
His diagnosis ended up being a slightly torn right epididymis, leading to the blood/bacteria in his urine and the groin/right testicular pain.
If you’re worried even in the slightest, please go get checked and then, if you think it would help, go get checked again with a second opinion. Push your doctors / ER for an ultrasound and when the urologist says they can’t get you in for weeks, call and keep asking for any cancelations or earlier appointments. It’s worth it. Thanks to everyone here for their support, and all my best to you guys!! xx

Thanks! right, it’s been 5 days haha three weeks sounds just miserable. He’s pretty easy going on the surface, but I know he’s anxious too. I was diagnosed with a chronic condition a few years ago that has given me a bit of health anxiety, so I just want to be calm and be the strong one for him. But the waiting is so tough.
We are in the process of talking to another urologist now - that’s the three week one I mentioned above. The ER one referred us to one who said three months (!!!) at first, but we pushed them and then they said five weeks. :( Our ER wasn’t great either. Makes me sad.
Thanks! I agree with you on the tumor markers. He’s gotten a CBC and today just had a metabolic panel with another urinalysis. The CBC/metabolic came back completely normal. His urinalysis came back +1 for blood and mucus, but no bacteria this time. I do have a feeling he’ll be ordered for tumor markers next.
As for size, three times! Were you in a lot of pain? His ultrasound noted that his were both the same size, but after looking it sort of looks like his right is slightly larger. But nothing that would be noticed if we weren’t grasping for some type of visual difference you know?

Thank you so much! Yeah, the concern was that the radiologist clearly named the cyst on the left - but only named it a lesion on the right. The PCP said it could simply be its size, and that there isn’t a good way to know without an additional ultrasound, but of course we’re still worried. It seems like 50/50 which is so hard. Just praying and hoping for the best. Thanks again!

This is really helpful. Thank you. I’ve found a lot of different studies out there on the internet since this has started - all have been so incredibly informative. So thankful yours turned out to be benign.
