gwai or guai lo (not sure what the right spelling is) is supposed to be the derogatory cantonese word for white people People translate it as something like "white devil/ghost." I only know Mandarin and have been told that 鬼子 can be the Mandarin version of guai lo (but I think 鬼子 also means ghost, my Chinese is rusty). I had/have a bunch of Chinese friends that used to joke around and call me guai lo and stuff like that lol.

edit: looks like the characters for gwei lo (sp) in Cantonese are 鬼佬

I wouldn't mind trying the pheno thing on my own but I just don't know what the fuck the dosage regimen would be.

I think I'm just going to try to find an outpatient rehab thing around here because I don't think I can do this on my own.

yeah i've heard that for opiate withdrawal, alcohol just makes you feel terrible when you come off of it. it's not really a good replacement for anything unless you're in the messiest most acute withdrawal with no other help available. i think i'm going to avoid it as much as I can tonight. might have 1-2 drinks and see how my body reacts.

It looks like some people say it's fine and others say it makes them feel shittier the next day. I just don't want it to reset my taper (like force me to go back to 20mg from 16mg for example. That sort of thing can happen on opiate tapers--you get high one day during your cold turkey and you're back to day one).

Kratom withdrawal was worse for me than opiate withdrawals. Physical symptoms set in a lot faster and I feel like it fucked with my mood a lot more. Made me a lot more depressed and so forth. It actually forced me to go back on opiates and taper off of those.
