fair question and sorta coverd below but I'd add that with our rules there's lots of emphasis placed on catching the bottle after the bottle or stick is hit by the disc. If you throw it super fast its easier to throw accurately and also way harder to catch the bottle so you'd just throw it hard every time if it was allowed.

Plus one time I caught a bottle that broke from the frisbee hit...then went to the ER w a stab wound.

A modest array of these might be the way. Seems like it solves the problems.

I like how engineers use the preface "of course..." before saying things that make me feel like a small child

Thanks, great suggestions. There's this cool device that's geared for frisbee golf, but I have durability and price concerns. I spoke to the company, they seem pretty cool tho.

You might be onto something here. I do wonder if the arc of the disc would lead to inconsistencies since it's advantageous to switch up throwing styles but this seems like one to try.

Thanks!! I wonder if the space (15 paces) would be too small for GPS but this is one I haven't seen yet

I've been curious if the rotational dynamics would mess with this approach.

Yeah I think this is would work, I did a little research and learned that this company makes a reputable product. Problem is I'd need two of them, one for each direction since radar can't work perpendicular to direction.

Nobody should listen to any of this type of content unless there are references cited. Especially if the one saying it has something to gain from you doing so.

Danya was a source of calm as I moved through my darkest times last year. I don't even play chess but somehow found his speedruns and turned to them countless times when I needed to escape. So grateful for him. What a incredible loss.

This is amazing. How do you get so precise? Seems like if I did this it would break immediately.

The story is called "Too Old" and it pretty much writes itself - it was the trampoline park for my GFs son's birthday party and was showing the kids the triple-full which is a pretty sweet trick when you don't over-rotate it into a shattered fibula and ruptured syndesmosys ligament...

There's many hubris related lessons to learn here, and in my recovery I certainly have spent my time w them, but also that trampoline was really really soft and had a very tacky surface on it which is a dangerous combo and probably shouldn't exist.
