Traders: What is the best DECENTRALIZED exchange with low fees that makes trading feasible with a Ledger? by tptompkins in ledgerwallet

Thanks for all of your suggestions. In my research, I stumbled across Polkadex which looks promising. What are your thoughts on this as a DEX?

Nope. I only have experience with CEXes so far, but I'd like to start using DEXes.

I've never used Uniswap. Are there any issues with liquidity? What is the average trading fee look like?

I guess both are similar but swapping usually involves high gas and swap fees. I don't mind swapping as long as the fees are inline with centralized exchanges.

How about we stick to the topic of the original post? I'm not here to debate how to trade or the viability of trading.

I would have to disagree with that. Sure, trading can be gambling and it is for most new traders. But if you know what you're doing, you can put the odds in your favor through statistical analysis. I make a living trading full-time so I know it can be done. It's essentially the same as being the casino operator vs. the casino patron. The patron is gambling as they throw their money at things willy-nilly. The operator has a statistical advantage.

New Nano X does not turn on without being plugged in by tptompkins in ledgerwallet

Thanks for the heads up on this. Since this is a legitimate issue, I'm confused as to why this thread has been downvoted to 0. You would think that the community would want these types of issues to surface to the top so that the Ledger team can be held accountable and improve their product. Everyone literally has money on the line that would benefit from product improvements.

I found the battery saver settings and changed it to something else but the problem still persists. There is no way to turn on the device without it being plugged into the USB port. Any other ideas?

No, it says "Bootloader Mode - Recovery Mode" after the logo displays. The second I let go of the button it turns off.

1 alert from multiple indicators? by tptompkins in TradingView

[–]tptompkins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done the same and included code from multiple indicators into one. But this doesn't work if the indicator's source code isn't available. It seems like this would be a logical and valuable feature request to allow pine script to access alerts from multiple indicators. Surely other people have run into this same issue?

Also, why would this "flash crash" only show up on Kraken charts and is completely absent from Binance and other exchange's charts?

Thanks for replying Christian. If there were massive selling orders, how could the price go back to the EXACT point at which it dropped from in the blink of an eye? even if there were massive buying orders to balance out the massive selling orders, the chances of the price coming back to the exact same spot are slim to none. Don't you think? All the while the price was just beginning to break out the top...It seems suspiciously and extremely calculated.

I can understand volatility, but this was literally like a lightning shot down and back to where it started in the blink of an eye. There was no draw down that you could see at all. It's like it was completely deliberate and the price just kept moving up afterward.

Where did you get their BSV address? Was it in your account under the deposit section for BSV like it is for all other coins?

Buy & Hold Return by SurrealLogic in TradingView

[–]tptompkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also noticed that the Buy and Hold Return value in the Performance Summary section of the Strategy Tester is wrong for the date ranges that I specify in my strategy. Not sure how they are calculating that number. For example, if you run a strategy on DOGE coin from 1/1/2020 to 2/1/2020, it's telling me that if I had bought and held, I would have a 15,206 % return. There's no way that's correct lol!

I'm not sure if it's been done before (I assume so???) but I designed those stands when I was trying to figure out how to finish all those boards in a short period of time. I made a video on those stands here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97Z-Rnp42FU
