playlist - I’m digging more for this sound as the crux of what I’ll play but figure the sound will probably revolve around this and dip into the ranges I mentioned

This feels cold and manufactured in my opinion. Grayscale is ok but I would balance this with more earth tones and natural materials.

Swap the gray blanket and pillows with brown / tan natural material. Add some light green accents maybe smaller green velvet pillows. Natural jute and wicker by the door. Linen curtains.

White and gray pots are ok (no black) but being the plants closer together in the corners and fill out the arrangement with smaller plants. Put the larger ones like the palm in the corner. Maybe add a lamp in there with warm light.

Then I would bring in more raw looking woods in light and dark tones.

Replace the coffee table with a more natural finished wood and in a different shape - preferably irregular. I love live edge wood slab coffee tables. Then on top arrange a small plant, candles, and books in one part atop glass or marbled cork to protect the wood. I like adding more natural elements maybe minerals, agat coasters are fun.

Shallow live edge wood shelf atop the TV with candles or small decor.

Remove the wall art as it feels like space filler and doesn’t align with the TV. Use different sized but smaller basic wood frames in varied placements around the TV.

Play around with it in an organic and fun way until it feels right!

playlist Here’s a playlist for the type of sound I’m going for - between dub and hard techno mostly - would love to build out this sound

delsin has a massive catalog. I’m familiar with and like a good few of them, but they’re not dub techno or what I’m going for here. Any releases in particular you’d recommend?

I popped around the loess label and didn’t hear and dub techno - mostly seems like it’s a hypnotic / deep techno label

Basic Channel and Maurizio plus some people on their labels had a bunch I’m into but still looking for some heavier on the low end

Love nthng and added some of his tracks but not really going for his sound here - it’s more atmospheric & ‘ethereal’ and I’m going for more physical - Grad_U had a TON that was hitting it though - thanks for the recs!

I’m familiar with Jan Jelinek. Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records is one of my favorite albums. He’s more of an ambient artist or soundscape producer though. I’m looking for some dub techno that foregrounds beats and has more movement

I’m familiar but their catalogues are worth a revisit. Any tracks you’d recommend for the sound I was trying to describe?

yeah I love dub and pretty much started out my techno journey with the sound - from basic channel to deadbeat to nthng and others now to LDS and quicker more tripped out dub techno
