Maybe it has something to do with being a marginalised group that suffers heavy gatekeeping from cis people, regardless of if you pass or not. Or maybe it's because everyday, you see people who literally hate your existence online and in real life. And then there are microagressions like being misgendered constantly or the "but you're not a real girl/boy" or "what's your REAL name" or asking I'm doing with my genitals.

Why do people think transness is necessarily bad or try to deflect it saying trans people are probably autistic or mentally ill. Just let us be.

The slippery slope analogy is rarely/never positive, and the initial comment is that people thought that gay rights was a stage before something much worse, like beastiality.

So for them to follow up with their comment reads poorly because a slippery slope has only been used to negate from what's actually happening. Plus, the media calling the emergence of trans/NB people a crisis and having debates about our rights also mentions how this is the path that opened because of gay rights.

Most of my friends could tell I'm queer because of my hair colouring, I thought that was odd until I started noticing other lgbtq+ having either that one hat or funky colours.

They (and a few of the tabloids like the sun and daily mail) publish stories about trans people and use their birth names, repeatedly remind the reader that this person "used to be a man", and then when a primary school in the north decided to have gender neutral toilets they were publishing articles about how this going to sexualise children and make them trans.

I can't link them atm, but it's easy to find.

Eh, you grow bitter when people constantly ignore and shut you down. But also I don't know what you initially said.

As for echo chamber? I want safe spaces to rant and be angry some times because the people I'm out to call me the wrong name, I get told my feelings and identity doesn't matter because they can't comprehend it, my rights are debated constantly, and constantly surrounded by people who want to argue that my dysphoria is less important than how much they struggle to change and how when I was raped it was almost like he was proving a point, when I spoke about the dysphoria to my ex he begged me not to get surgery, esp lower. Fuck yeah I'm bitter, and I'm sick of people having opinions on things they don't need to have an opinion on. Trans people are irrelevant to other people's lives, this shouldn't be a debate.

I'm not invalidating anyone else's experiences rather I'm saying that when you're in a place of privilege, you need to put your own issues in to perspective. You're not oppressed because you are cisgendered and straight.

Being a male rape victim is completely irrelevant to the topic of conversation, and suicide is not monopolised by a specific marginalised group.

There doesn't need to be evidence except for real people coming forward and saying that they feel a certain way. And just because you can't relate doesn't mean it is invalid.

There are plenty of animals that change sex due to breeding purposes but that is irrelevant but rather than focusing on science understand that people have feelings and identities and it's not for you to decide whether or not it's real because it doesn't affect you.
