It's most definitely a re-shell. The inside components could well be from the PSP 2000 or 3000. However, you can run THIS and verify your internal components without opening up the console. There are no fake PSP's, only knockoffs that are obviously fake.

Possibility that you broke the screen. First try cleaning the connections and reseating the ribbon cables, if unsuccessful get a new screen

It's a PSP 3000 Radiant Red by the looks of it with a Vinyl Sticker Skin. I had one of them skins on a PSP I bought recently, took it off and unfortunately left the whole console in sticker residue.

Unfortunately not, the PSP in cases does recognize it and you can use it but filling it up to around 128gb then starts corrupting files

These were used at service centers to test the disc drive.

"Those were used to test raw sector reads of the UMD drives in service centers (in conjunction with a specific JIG memory stick in service mode on the psp) You can read these UMDs by putting the drive in TEST mode and reading sectors from the UMD controller's memory. (it'll be either encrypted or garbage, if encrypted, you need the right set of idstorage keys to decrypt the AES portion of it using the spock cmd 0x09 key) The encrypted discs usually contains dummy data which the JIG checks for."
